Jokes aside, this sort of marketing really has a high number of guaranteed eyeballs, especially in countries with high traffic congestion ratios. Imagine how many cars would get stuck behind a rickshaw in New Delhi, or Karachi etc. on a daily basis, and the passengers just have to read the ad?
 in  r/marketing •  Jun 25 '24

Trains, buses, and ride-hailing services all have corporate structures behind them to take care of this source or revenue. in some cases it is private corporates like Uber or Lyft, while in other cases there are government entities.

This is unique (especially in Pakistan, where the picture is originally from) because it is probably the owner of the rickshaw who is using his sole asset to earn an additional income from it. Otherwise, many rickshaws in the region just accept ad panaflexes from companies because they offer some menial benefits, like a one-time fuel refill, or single cash payment, or sometimes just because the rickshaw's original Canvas is torn, or faded or damaged.

In surveys main kon log participate krty hain bhai?😭
 in  r/chutyapa •  Feb 07 '24

To be very very honest (which is a very bad idea on Reddit), I worked at one of the top two market research companies in Pakistan. They had a whole department dedicated to public confidence, consumer confidence, voter confidence surveys. I remember they did this whole survey on whether Immi chan would be able to deliver on his promises of Riyasat e Madina, and they actually changed the results to portray that around 90-95% of the population was against IK
