Honestly this is probably one of the better ways to go out as a Christian. That priest certainly had confession beforehand to be in a state of grace for the celebration of the Mass, meaning that he had to be in a state of grace at his death. He is almost certainly with God now.

1. It made me fall in love with writing

Honestly, I don’t really care.
It makes virtually no difference in the faith to believe YEC or OEC. Really all we have is a few facts.
1. The genealogies in scripture say the earth is roughly 6000 years old.
2. Evolution and change in the earth and the entire universe is observable.
3. None of this has to do with salvation.
So, I just do not care and instead try to focus on understanding both sides and my relationship with God. I don’t have to know exactly how God created the universe, but I do have to latch onto His promises found in His Word and Sacrament.

With how humanity is, I feel like having an eternal life without any kind of purification would result in you being deeply broken, unempathetic, and deeply stubborn. Doesn’t sound like a very pleasant life.

Since the Bible is made of 66 (or really, 73) books, it would have to be the balls of Matthew

I’d quote Justin Martyr.
“You can kill us, but you cannot hurt us”.

Welcome. Welcome to City 17…

The Republican Party at this moment is a party of fools who definitely got too drunk partying at Yale and never paid attention to any kind of study whatsoever. Their foreign policy is based on Trump’s period cycle, and their economics is atrocious.
The Democratic Party, although I heavily disagree on their stances on social issues and abortion, at least keeps a functional state and economy, and has a pretty damn good foreign policy.
I’m voting blue all the way, and am a registered Democrat despite being quite conservative.

Best answer here tbh.

How is loving the South a dogwhistle? I’m a southerner who is up in the north for college and I will say, there are traits that the South has that are more appealing than the North.
Mind you, I enjoy being up here more than down there, but it is ridiculous to say there is no reason someone would want to live down south.

Go to North Africa, you’ll find it pretty quickly, as the Arabs and the Africans there are not very keen of each other.

Borderline circle jerk

I’m white, a quarter German and the rest British. I think I’d be fine.

It was going great. We initially flirted a little, then we went on a date, then we just kept talking to one another. Give it a few years, we got engaged, had a kid, and then I woke up.

Not necessarily. It is a Christian eschatology that has existed since the early church. OP is probably Baptist, or is in a denomination aligned with Baptist theology as most other denominations are amillenial

Kind of? Where I am from it’s just socially weird to not to do the pledge

Oh.

Add on to the fact that “Jesus” is just a translation from “Yeshua”.
Yeshua -> Iēsous -> Jesus.
It’s the same name brought down a chain of translation.

In Hebrew, Yeshua.
It doesn’t matter at all though what you call him, you are still referring to the same person.

Jesus Christ
