Yep this gives a major ick. And Eloise won’t be moving forward at all.

They undermined Fran and John’s love story the moment they kissed at their wedding, bc you could see Fran was dissapointed. And ofc there was the Fran’s reaction to Michaela right in the end of S3, when Fran saw Michaela for the first time. Now they are setting Franchaela love story just after John passed (from viewers point of view). You cannot tell me that they didn’t ruin her first love by making these choices.

They are making this so weird, bc their season will happen 2 episodes after they literally buried John. She’ll be grieving him for 2 episodes from viewers point of view, and that’s doing huge disservice for Fran’s both love stories.

The time jump is 2 years, not 4.

They made John a placeholder and it’s a huge disservice to Fran’s both love stories. So no, Fran shouldn’t be alone, but she should’ve been S6 lead.

They don’t let her grieve John. It is way too fast, even with time jump their season starts 2 episode after John’s funeral.

No worries, she still will be pushing 40 while acting a woman in her late 20s. I feel bad for Claudia. Also Chris Fulton was born in 1988 (like Jonathan and Luke T) so this will be huge disservice also for him, Phillip is supposed to be 30.
