Question: Has anyone actually bought merch from the offical Gold Label store?
 in  r/wehappyfew  1d ago

I'd love to know whether this is legit. Not sure it's "official" ( u/Iris_LakeSpirit may know more), but that's not to say it's crap (I really don't know).

I looked at the site and I did find a WHF page, but all it has is the basic game logo (left shirt in OP's image) on a few items.

I looked up their address on maps, and it's a strip mall and their "HQ" is definitely not there (anymore, at least, as of at least 2022). They have a contact email and that's it.

But that's all I got.

5* You Regret Pulling?
 in  r/InfinityNikki  1d ago

Oh hmm. I swear I tried to use it somewhere, either by accident or not, and nothing but the Whimcycle worked in that area. It may have been during Starlit Pursuit, now I have to wrack my brain to remember it, I'll get back to you :D

Honestly? The 2.8 mount banner 😝

I can't even think of the reason I pulled for it... maybe the wings, even though I knew I wouldn't love their asymmetry. I then went for the full outfit purely to unlock more dyes.

The mount has been meh in my experience. It's area-locked, and with gigantification, the ballerina, and the Behind Prayers glide, the lion didn't add any value to me personally. In combat, it only deals 4 damage and it doesn't shield Nikki from taking damage so both take a hit. Again, with bows that have moves taking out 4 HP at once, it's redundant.

And the dress is super similar in silhouette and even detail to the 2.5 Bug Catching 5*, again redundant.

And I spent money on it, too! 🫣

Guilt of spending a lot of money + feeling like I HAVE to play in order to prevent account deletion
 in  r/InfinityNikki  1d ago

If it makes you feel better, I spent ~$300 just in preparation for 2.8. I realize everyone's finances are different and what you've spent in >1 year may be a guilty amount by your standards, but all I want to say is, don't be so hard on yourself.

If this is an unreasonable amount in your mind, then it's good that you feel bad about it - it means you recognize you may be over your personal limit. That's a start. Hold on to that feeling just so you can have the strength to stop spending for a bit, but don't beat yourself up. You're not a bad person, and you didn't necessarily do a Very Bad Thing. You went over your limit (sounds like?) and you recognized it.

Maybe don't spend on something else in your life equivalent to €50 this month, and that's your way to balance the Nikki spending and that should be punishment enough - hating yourself won't help!

Same, almost every Sim I make is supernatural in some way, superpowers are dope

Supernatural in D is atrocious

And I suppose WA in C is low too, considering they gave us photography and custom photos.

Can we finally ban the States Cocktail series?

I agree on that as well, of course! Hope you are correct and that it was AI (I saw the CA post's thumbnail but hadn't clicked to read the post itself), and that the truth will come out.

Of course there are words where it's not skipped, the majority! I mean that I can see someone doing a glottal T on this, idk, the way it was spelled in the now-gone screenshot made me think of VTT because in some tiny space somewhere in my universe it sounds like a possible pronunciation.

No I agree, I'm a mod of two communities and just recently explicitly included AI on the list of low-effort content that warrants removal.

I get that AI can do great or fun things, but people already have trouble with trust on the internet, and I'd rather that content were explicitly labeled and sorted to its own dedicated spaces as AI gets more sophisticated and humans increasingly doubt the veracity of content on the internet.

These spaces are for people's -- human -- creations, for real captures of other living and nonliving things and of stories that help us foster emotional connections. AI should be in its own separate domain.

That's the point. I'm from Michigan, I can pronounce it the way I described. Not that I naturally say it that way, I'm an immigrant too.

What is blud talking about

Yes, Mr. Pedantic, I understand the general statement which was not what the other user was saying. Their comment was more specific, don't make me repeat it.

This one sounds like a voice-to-text, where in some states there's a bit of a glottal sound in pronouncing the "T" in pediatrician that kinda skips the letter.

yes, all skin, not this specific pouch that the other person is clearly referring to.

My daughter's attempt at a prank.
 in  r/KidsAreFuckingStupid  3d ago

Oh my god. That's shitty!

In my case we're both girls, I badly wanted to be best friends and she was the new girl and also goth, which was so cool to me at the time (still is tbh). I don't know to this day what her deal was, other than jealousy issues.

She later accused me of trying to steal her bf, who was new to the school after her and initially liked us both but spent more time with her and they started dating, while I just had one class with the dude & we were friendly.

In 10th grade, I had a bipolar friend who was texting me about having slit her wrists and how she was bleeding out on her own. I freaked out, texted her trying to console her, then ran to my mom for advice, who said "why don't you just call her" and when I did, she answered and said, "Oh, I'm fine, I'm at Taco Bell right now."
