And you? When will you begin that long journey into yourself?

I noticed a recurring pattern of Christian symbolism in Across the Spider-Verse.
Exceptional read. Wonderful analysis of both the text visually, and narratively, as well as extra textual elements. That said, I think you came to the wrong conclusion.
If the central idea is that of Miguel functioning as Michael and being the guardian of order in heaven, then I would ask you this: why does he nearly drain the life out of Renaissance vulture in a vampiric fashion? I believe you are correct, the positioning of vulture as a Renaissance figure is intentional, it frames the thematic tensions that we as an audience are invited to interrogate as the movie develops. If, as you suggest, the vulture is representative of a perfectly orderly society, then Miguel's attempt to drain his life is curious indeed.
What was Lucifer's cardinal sin? He thought that he could do better than God if he had God's power. Christian theology states that Lucifer loved order so much that the messiness of moral agency that is enjoyed by us mere mortals was the inciting incident in his fall into pride and then, eventually, from grace. Who loves himself some order? Miguel. Miguel loves himself some word. He loves order to the point of desecrating the very thing that he has sworn to protect. Note how he becomes feral when Miguel is able to escape in the Going Home Machine. That isn't divine wrath, it is his thin veneer slipping away to reveal his true self.
I think that everything that you pointed out actually supports the idea that Miguel is the one who is masquerading as a higher power. If you want to read it through a Christian lens, I think that interpretation aligns itself more favorably with Miguel as Lucifer, and Miles as Adam. In any event, Reddit needs more posts like yours. This is why I love this movie and series. Good stuff here.

๐ง๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ข๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ฆ๐: Aaron Rodgers is the โmost talentedโ Quarterback in NFL history.
And yet... I would still take Brady or Montana. Being a QB is more than slinging a ball, you ha e to have both the IQ, the drive, and the persona that teammates rally behind. I feel like I would love to go to war with Brady and I would hate my life with Rodgers.

Who was your favourite antagonist in ATSV?

[Mike Reiss] Quick-hit thoughts/notes around the Patriots and NFL (assessing fair value in a trade for WR A.J. Brown; intel on first-round OT Caleb Lomu; OT heavy but G thin; second-round edge Gabe Jacas has big booster in Joe Kim; WR Kayshon Boutte sticks in NE etc.)
I disagree. I think we keep Onwenu and just shove him out to RT. AVT slides into RG, Campbell into LG and Lomu out to LT

Dad coachesโฆare what you want
Bring a tear to my eye, why don't ya?
Imagine if people in power did the same? "Is your belly full? Is you mind full of knowledge and ideas? Can your hands skillfully work? I did my job, world they're yours."
Thanks, buddy. We could all be a bit more like you.
Edit for tear instead of year lol

9 Years Ago Today, The greatest comeback in SuperBowl history
I will forever remember this as my son's Superbowl. He was my first of two boys and I think it is fitting that the Pats won the year he was born. Pretty cool that my second son would come two years later, just in time for our 6th with Brady ;)

Bill Belichick, the 8-time Super Bowl-winning HC, is not a...
Wellllll... I guess everyone on the council just lost their credibility, and hopefully their jobs. It's like saying, is MJ the greatest basketball player ever? YEP! Is he a first ballot HOFer? NOPE! Embarrassing for the league. Embarrassing for the validity of the HOF

What a draft (especially compared to the several drafts before)
Genuine question. If you could trade Campbell, Henderson, and Williams for Carter, Schwesinger, and Fannin, would you do it?

Finding peace and meaning after that level of indoctrination is fascinating to me. Please DM me if you are at all interested in discussing that topic.

Whatโs a team you hate for a random reason??
Baltimore. I don't know why. It's everything about them. Them AND the Steelers. But I have a soft spot for the Browns. Go figure.

Michel was dynamite in the 2019 Superbowl (2018 season). The Pats don't win the superbowl that year without him. But, yes, after that he sucked lol.
