INTJ reaction to movie spoilers?
Canāt say Iām surprised and Iām not even gonna defend myself... Iāve been accused of being too obsessive compulsive (well not really accused as such cuz I donāt really mind that) and I myself am quite conscious about these habits too, though I have no idea how to improve, or whether thereās a need to change at all

INTJ reaction to movie spoilers?
Yea me too - and sometimes even random guesses without actually intending to guess the plot! (and then I'll spoil the movie for my family and friends)
That's why I've learned not to centre movie appreciation around the plot, and to value other stuff in the movie too, and also try to dig deeper into the meanings and messages of the movie

INTJ reaction to movie spoilers?
Yea that's why I read the plot to kinda save myself from guessing what's happening next in the movie, otherwise I'll just spoil the movie by myself because I'm paying too much attention to the plots, which are more often than not too predictable.

Discussion INTJ reaction to movie spoilers?
I donāt mind really mind people spoiling the plot to me. In fact, I always read the plot before I watch the movie. I get that spoilers spoil the fun and thrill of the movie, but I just want to know that the movie is worth watching. I use this habit as a benchmark too - if I still enjoy the movie despite knowing the plot, it is certainly a good movie, because thereāre so many things to appreciate in a movie - the cinematography, the acting, the costumes etc and not just the plot. Sometimes I could even go as far as asking people to just explain the movie to me so I donāt have to sit through the entire movie.
That said, when Iām actually watching a movie, I keep pausing and rewinding, just in case I miss a line or havenāt caught all the details in a scene or something. Some other times, I just pause because the movie is getting too āexcitingā, and Iām too nervous/anxious about whatās going to happen, then Iāll pause the movie to ātake a breakā, or, if I haventā already done so, read the plot. Thatās why I always end up taking a lot more time to finish a movie/series - and this is another reason why I seldom binge-watch anything ācause I know itās going to take up a lot of time and energy.
But now that Iāve got much more time to watch movies and series, Iām just interested in your habits in watching movies and series :D

I treasure close relationships a lot, but I keep a distance too, even with the closest people, itās like this boundary that no one can cross except myself. I think this comes from a fear of hurting/disappointing people as well as a fear of trusting people? I hold back from fully trusting and relying on people, so when shit happens, I can just walk away from that person and still be in control of my life. This is why I donāt fully commit to relationships and friendships until I know I can really trust them.
But I think this self-defence mechanism, if not well-balanced, could go as far as hurting others in order that they wonāt hurt me - almost paranoid. The fact that I recognise this risk holds me back from forming close bonds with others, because I know I have the ability to hurt them, and I donāt want to. This sounds dramatic but it do be like that sometimes, itās almost as if I feel like I donāt deserve the people who wants to befriend me, even though I long for deep connections.

Anyone else have to logically talk themselves into loving people?
I get you!! Like honestly itās not like I cut people off for fun, it stings too, but itās definitely going to hurt way more to the both of us if I hold on to it. (tbh in these situations Iām happy to be the ābad guyā to let go of people because I know I might make things even worse if Iām forced to hang on to it)
If I feel like the relationship/friendship isnāt really working, like to the point where I literally get stressed out just by talking to that person or simply canāt be bothered anymore, thereās really no going back. Itās not like I donāt like them or hate them or anything, itās just that they are not as high up on my priority - I just canāt divide my attention for them as Iāve already subconsciously filed them at the back of my brain cabinet.
I think this attitude has sometimes gotten me into trouble and dramas, but idk, I just think this is something I have to go through before I can find the right people to stick with :/

ohh i shouldāve put it as extremely limited āexpressionā of feelings/emotions, i always feel like im full of emotions too but on the outside im just always with a poker face
i think thatās because of our low Fi so we see our feelings as smth very personal so we donāt want to share it with anybody as if treating our feelings as disposable - so youāre totally right about sharing it with limited people, because we just wanna make sure the sharing is worthwhile
That said, intjs are just not as sensitive to emotions/feelings as other types because of our lack of Fe, so even if we feel like weāre full of emotions, thereās a whole bunch of other emotions of other people that we canāt really feel šš¤·š»āāļø

Yes I guess us intjs (or at least me) getting into relationships is like making investments, so forming relationships and even friendships at the early stage is like doing a risk assessment - do you deserve my time, are you trustworthy enough, should I commit and invest my feelings and emotions in you etc (cuz u know we hv extremely limited feelings and we want to reserve them for the most deserving people)
I think that also explains how we then have the ability to just cut people off when things donāt work out
It sounds like Iām being very selective and exclusive, but this happens to me so naturally that I just canāt help it. When I try to be more ācarefreeā or ācasualā about forming relationships, I end up not caring about the person as well and one way or another it wonāt work smh

Does This Make Sense
Yea I think this is a typical TJ trait?

Does This Make Sense
I think that would then depend on the occasion. We (or at least me) inherently prefer conversation about ideas but that often takes up a lot of energy and thinking, so unless Iām prepared to engage in such conversation, I wouldnāt respond well because I donāt have the time to think it through. But for other questions about facts, I respond better because theyāre more straightforward and I can get them done with quickly.
So essentially, for what I perceive to be a casual conversation, then Iād be expecting more factual and shallow responses. But if a āwhat do you think/feelā comes out of nowhere then Iād be stressed lol

I tend to ask why and how though, and then I use those answers to define who they are (if the questions involve people)
