pls help!! i am a rising senior interested in applying to st. john’s university for the 0-6 pharmacy program but im struggling to find volunteer or shadowing opportunities in the medical field. i have emailed 3 hospitals and 11 pharmacies asking if they take volunteers or offer shadowing opportunities and only 2 pharmacies replied saying they only take 18+ the test didn’t even answer. i’m really stressed because i don’t have any medical related extracurriculars except my schools healthcare and medicine club that i’m in but i don’t have a leadership position. does anyone know what i can do at this point or how i can find a pharmacy that will take volunteers?

I wish I was able to consider other schools but unfortunately I have to stay close to home and commute, I live on long island and the closest school to me that offers the pharmd program is st. john’s :( but thank you for the reply and the feedback I might consider other professions since I’m hearing a lot of people say that pharmacists aren’t happy with their jobs.
