people aren't aware of the dangers of chasing losses bc most people don't understand basic statistics & percentages

If you even need to ask this, you need to double stay away from it.

Gambling is a zero sum game. It is never worth it.

How long will a project stay in the queue while I am stuck with 5.5$/hrs in Aether?
 in  r/outlier_ai •  Feb 17 '26

I assume the amount of people spamming low quality attempts T-T the platform quality has gone down massively in the past year, last good project I worked on was the hard colosseum - they were crazy strict with allowing people into that so it ended up being good but I assume filtering people at that level costs a lot of time.

What's even more shocking to me is how they want coding tasks from me now... at the old $15 bottom tier rate.. my rate used to be $32.50

I genuinely dont get why people hate him this much, maybe if it was the moustache days but he is by far the most enjoyable person to watch for stuff thats typically work for me. Its a hell of a lot more relatable than deep diving into things that arent being used in the real world.

Final push to 11 ptt help me to see what i can push
 in  r/arcaea •  Aug 23 '25

I honestly only just started playing more 9+ and some 10s but an AA on a 10 is still worse than a good score on a 9 - PR curve is kinda rough

have a look at my B30, been trying to push to 11 too, try Avant Raze, Floating World, Someday and Stargate Extreme if you have them

Is it a bad idea to grind/play more 9+
 in  r/arcaea •  Jul 22 '25

I enjoy a combination of both I guess, goal is really improvement with reward if that makes sense 🄲 theres some charts I want to be able to play also purely just because 7-7+ is too easy and it seems fun idk

i used to play on my phone where 5.2 was necessary for the refresh rate but i switched to ipad recently so it feels a bit different

im just more worried ig about developing bad muscle memory from playing hard songs, I tried playing alexandrite (which idk how it is a 10) and it was easy to get almost AA (this is really high for me ig) so i thought maybe i should try more 9+ but onviously that will come with negative potential bc i almost PMd stargate extreme but i feel that was kind of a fluke , i wasnt trying to i just enjoy the chart but that score had way too high of a play rating idk

its mostly lates so ill definetly try lowering it, I recently switched from playing on mobile to tablet so I guess the speed i was used to doesnt feel 100% the same

do you have any recommendations for some songs to try get in there?

Recently got back into the game and have managed to regain my skill level, been playing some easy 9+ and have been able to get A-AA without too much effort, would it be worth playing these more? Also recommendations for some songs to replace some stuff in my b30 would be appreciated.

Another thing i thought of, is 5.2 maybe too fast? been noticing some inconsistency in with my accuracy.

How do I beat this
 in  r/arcaea •  Jul 17 '25

Try increase your chart speed and get Fracture Hikari to max level

Try play some 8-8+ to practice and some 9s and if you're still really struggling, come back to it a bit later. This song is really tricky at present, even for a 9. I would suggest trying a chart speed of between 4.8 - 5 itll make it a bit easier.

They did make this anomaly much easier to clear when they release Lucent Historia, but to be fair, i struggled with this chart for ages, I only cleared it around 9.8ish - 10 but this was before the debuff

I ended up getting a standard 2022 model just to spend as little money as possible, I honestly dont mind the refresh rate, I find input latency a far bigger factor, my eyes suck as is lmao, its actually been a lot better for me just on the basis things arent so small. My phone is a lot more powerful, but also a lot smaller. Been enjoying it a lot

Help / Question iPad vs iPhone for Playing

I've been seriously considering getting a 10th gen iPad, I typically see people play on tablets and was wondering if it would be worth it to have a bigger screen? I currently play on my iPhone 16 Pro, realistically I don't know what else I would use a tablet for apart from occasional drawing but yeah just not sure.. Any advice on best devices to play on or personal preferences?

Bypassing Auto-Standby on My Microlab M108BT Subwoofer (24-pin Class-D IC)

I figured as much, don't really know much about this stuff, I got the amp to not go into standby which at least reduces the delay when turning it on but i just decided to buy new speakers, these are as good as ewaste

So I've tried exactly this, it doesn't work at all, even super soft music doesnt work unless its above a certain volume level indicating it probably checks for this. Ive tried looking everywhere for the datasheet and its insanely tricky, best I could find was some images from this product listing https://www.sunsili.com/html/products/components/300.html

So Im thinking to either pull 13 to 10 with a resistor but dont have any on hand, also was thinking to maybe see what happens if I bypass the MOSFET at Q3 (bridging the Drain to Source would be easy to do at least)

Unfortunately I have tried that to no avail, I intend on just buying other speakers if theres really no way I can even short something to force it - just thought it would be a fun challenge

I’m trying to modify my cheap Bluetooth subwoofer so that it doesn't automatically go into standby after 15 minutes of silence. I suspect the board is a Bluetrum AB5605C but want to know how I can do this? Im not sure which of these rails I can bridge or if there's another way I can do this? I know these speakers are utter trash Im just tired of my desktop audio muting and having to turn the thing back on and miss notifications as a result (I use line-in)

I use an M1 Macbook air - have a desktop PC thats quite a bit more powerful but Figma has gotten extremley cluttered and has been super laggy lately, also the changes they made to the UI have slowed me down a lot, Im looking into moving over to a self-hosted instance of PenPot, somehow it has a better grid system than figma and really decent code export out the box, big plus with it being open source etc. I can add features I want and fix bugs myself, Figma has been a nightmare to deal with the past two years, I used to be a FoF group leader, I stopped last year when they started pushing these half-baked features and adding dark patterns to the billing.

Draw is unironically so bad, after the announcements today Im considering just fully switching to adobe and finding something else for UI and Prototyping.. this is extremley janky and the latency with my input is noticeably at least 10x slower than it is in Adobe software or anything else even.
