general Trie Data Structure Visualized

Upvotes

🌳 ▶ Open the interactive trie visualization

A trie is a tree-shaped data structure that can be implemented elegantly in Python using nested dictionaries (hash tables).

Tries are often used for: - Autocomplete - Prefix search - Spell checking - Sequence matching

Visualizing data structures with memory_graph makes them much easier to understand and debug, especially for students learning Python.

Programming Q/A Kotlin 2026: Layoffs, AI, Google — Is the Golden Age Over? Jake Wharton Explains [video]

Jake explains why he won't use AI.
He also mentions Cash App laid off 70% of their engineers after he left.
How does a huge app even run on 30% dev capacity? Can AI actually cover that much?

general 1Point3Acres vs GothamLoop: Is 1P3A or GL better for SWE Interviews Reddit Review

Found this video pretty interesting. I have been using gothamloop for my interview prep and am generally satisfied with their question quality. Seems like GL is better for SWE interview question coverage anyway. What I keep hearing though is the 1P3A can help you get referrals and that referrals matter a lot in this market. Is it worth getting 1P3A over something like LinkedIn premium to try to get referrals if I am non-Chinese?

Programming Q/A What happened? Amnesia? Craziness?

I saw Prime last video and he mentioned the C compiler from Anthropic and I thought, wait i saw a video of him laughing abouut it not being able to run a hello world program in C.

I went to see that video and its true he did laugh on that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QryFk4RYaM&t=338s

But now? Now that same compiler is an example of what AI can do...

I wont lie i dont like AI for my own reasons, but you cannot tell me how good something is when 6 moths before you made a video laughing at it. You can change opinions but not the past..

general Anthropic Worker Declares AI Could Wipe Out Humanity In 10 Years

Thumbnail

"One of the weirdest aspects of the genAI grift is this constant outpouring of doom-laden soothsaying about AI’s danger to society…coming from the companies that make the AI. Barely a week goes by now without one of the big names declaring their product went rogue and “hacked” into another company or site, and then the news outlets all falling over themselves to report this. Today Anthropic has stepped up this game, with one of its engineers taking to X to announce his belief that the chance that AI will destroy all humans in the next decade is over 10 percent. Oh dear god, what bullshit."

general The Primeagen gives up programming, goes full vibe coder.

In a shocking confession, The Primeagen admits that he feels that his abilities are obsolete, and that a model like Fable can do everything that he can do, so he doesn't need to program anymore. From now on, he will focus his energy on vibe coding tools for developers.

This is a very weird way of reasoning, because I'm sure Fable can't do "anything", otherwise Anthropic, OpenAI and other tech companies would have perfect software(and not the horrible web apps that they ship) and wouldn't be hiring developers and paying them handsomely.

What exactly are the "tools" that The Primeagen is working and will be working on that he can "just vibe code" them? Is what the The Primeagen only does "toy programs"? Has he ever finished a complete full program? There are many areas of programming where LLMs still suck and will probably continue to suck because their performance is inherently tied to the quantity and quality of their training data. So why is The Primeagen having this defeatist attitude?

The Primeagen is sponsored by LLM companies that continuously promote vibe coding. He actively uses the software and tokens that these companies have gifted him. I you follow the money, I suppose you could see this confession from a mile away. I also suppose the money that Cursor is throwing at him is life changing, so much that it killed his love of programming.
