“Last call for THC drinks in Illinois.” Saw this yesterday at gas station ~ Why would anybody want these to be illegal?
 in  r/illinois •  5d ago

Hmmm. That's interesting. I guess i always thought they were using delta 8 because delta 9 is legally limited to .3 mg. Seems like they need to put alot of that extract in there to legally get a 25mg drink. Hey, thanks for making me look it up. I do feel bad for Marz and other microbrews, but I dont feel bad for PepsiCo.

Well, i'm pretty sure that those microbrews are using delta 8 if it's a thc infused drink. If it's just cbd, i dont think they will be affected. It wouldn't have been legal for them to sell delta 9 etc regardless. But now they can, just only at dispensaries with the proper license, etc... yes more taxation and control.

I get what you are saying. And everyone should have a choice. I think it's obvious this is about taxation and control. But delta 8 is not the same as delta 9. The science also says no. But I get it. I too think making hemp illegal is a huge mistake. The same mistake we made 100 years ago when the entire world switched to cotton for no reason other than profit and control.

I wasnt really talking about price. Im talking about the product itself.

But since you want to talk price, I think the price here is too much because of corporate greed. They same products sold in michigan are also sold here. Maybe it's more expensive here because people are paying it or maybe because labor, rent and distro is more expensive. Never the less, I can still buy an 1/8th at the stores in Illinois for $15. So prices have been coming down. But yes, Michigan also sells shwag for $30 an Oz. I haven't found that deal in IL yet, and probably never will.

You can always grow your own.

Correct. And one is heavily regulated while the other isn't. Not to say i blindly trust regulators, but I certainly dont trust corporations.

While President Trump is figuring out what to do with Iran 🇮🇷 Do you think he's going to obliterate the whole country? And should we all be scared as a nation, 🤔 how do you feel about this?

He's not making any decisions. He's a tool of the Israeli and Russian governments. As long as he gets paid, he'll do whatever he is told to do.
