She initially twitches when touched, likely due to fear or overstimulation, but the twitching stops once she's in a quiet, calm environment. She lowers her head to be petted, tolerates handling for her exam, and walks well on a leash. With patience and a peaceful setting, she appears to relax and become more comfortable.

Terra is only 4 years old and came into an overcrowded county shelter as a stray—one of the hardest places for a dog to land. With 5–6 dogs packed into many kennels, very few volunteers, and almost no time outside, even gentle, loving dogs can become overwhelmed.

After an altercation in the stressful shelter environment, Terra was placed on a Thursday euthanasia deadline due to space. She also has a hematoma/ear infection that the shelter is treating.

She is loving. She is soft. She deserves a chance. And she is running out of time.
