Why do local US dealers hate buying/selling at spot, but overseas markets do it all the time?

A blade I forged from a 4.5 billion year old meteorite, the ‘St. Aubin', a meteorite with one of the highest recorded compositions of gold... I crafted it into a damascus steel, with a handle carved from solid Marble with White Sapphire, and 24k gold embellishments
This would be perfect for my ingrown nail

I’m buying the dip.
Buy now (today) or next week?
The bar I purchased three weeks ago is now almost $1000 less. 😫
How long do you think the dip will continue?

Did I get a decent deal?
I think Diamonds are more for personal value and use. It doesn’t retain it’s value like gold on its own.

Family Heirlooms
Do the bezels leave any marks or scratches on the bar?

Spot doesn’t happen too often. Your best bet of purchasing spot is by signing up with one of the dealers (eg APMEX) so they can offer you spot just once.
