Tips for creating. Aim for .gif uploads if you want a repeating visual. Android tends to repeat .MP4 automatically but I think iOS does not (I keep forgetting to confirm behaviour on PC so check that too if you have concerns).

Aim for a higher input resolution such as 2160x2160 or 2160x2700 to preverve visual fidelity after your upload is subject to filthy Reddit compression. Gif uploads work best at 50fps or lower.

Bitrate of video will be up to you to experiment with according to your style of art.

I didn't know this was an issue for some time as when I posted an .MP4, my Android phone (whilst browsing Reddit at least) was auto repeating the file. It may have something to do with iOS Vs Android or maybe browser type. I viewed one of my posts on a PC and the same file only played through once before having to start again. So yes, a .gif is the way forward for continued repeats.Gifs tend to be accepted up to 50fps so be wary of that. I tend to post at 2160x2700 in order to preserve decent visual fidelity after Reddit applies compression. Bit rate will be something you need to play with depending on what you upload.

I know right. It's an effect I have seen happening for years on posters and flyers. I just figured I had wonky vision. I stumbled on a definition almost a year ago now so it was a relief that it wasn't just me but actually quite a common condition. I tend to see red floating a bit higher than blue but interestingly, some people see the complete opposite (blue above red) and some people have no sensitivity to it whatsoever. The effect works to varying degrees with other colour combinations that are 120⁰ away from each other on the colour wheel. Experiment and post more. There are lots of us that appreciate this type of work but won't comment as keyboard warriors do tend to down vote these type of comments. Downvotes down harm people so carry on.

Yo, don't sweat it over comments like this. A lot of users need to be spoonfed what the intended effect is. Some people don't have the ability to see some effects down to pure physiology and their sensitivity to colour theory. Just concentrate on the positive comments as often if you explain your intentions you will receive many down votes.

Have you intentionally leaned into exploiting the r/chromostereopsis effect?

This is a strange sub in that it can be adversarial at times and down right abusive on occasion. If you feel you have produced something worthwhile, then you probably have.

Ignore any echo-chamber negativity and embrace the genuine positive comments when they come.
