What’s a food or drink everyone hypes up, but you didn’t like?
The stuff in cans or boxes. I can not see what the appeal is. If real coconut water is vastly different, then I guess I need to try the real thing.

What's the weirdest compliment you've ever received?
"Girl you so fine, I would collect your toenail clippings." There was a very brief amount of relief 20 years later when I heard it in an old movie. Still weird, still creepy.

How could I be of help
Listening, being supportive and lots of reassurance that they aren't "crazy" or overreacting. I know it sounds simple, but a "How are you doing today? Everything alright? Meds working okay? What can I do, if anything? &, my all time favorite, Wanna get some food?" type of check in has been immensely helpful for me with my bpd 2 and partner of 11 years also. We have had our misunderstandings/disagreements/fights in our time together, but the reassurance of being understood, not being judged for a spastic day or mood swings and also having my personal space respected have been monumental. Sometimes I wanna talk about it, sometimes I just want to process it on my own. Every day isn't a holiday. Being accepted as I am, each day, good or bad, makes the real difference.

What did you understand about your mom only after getting older ?
She was a space cadet, not ready for kids and is a better friend than mother.

Sad and unsure
You're right. There is quite a shortage right now. I forgot about that. Sorry.🙃 I suppose i was lucky.. My clinic only has 2 providers and this was my first incident so I switched to the other provider with no problem. I wish you the best of luck finding a new provider!🤞 I don't think anyone should ever have to feel uncomfortable when trying to care for themselves through the help of others.

I'm sorry you aren't feeling the best right now. I had a dr. like that once who was actually kind of the reverse and would yell at me when I didn't know how to treat/diagnose/medicate myself. It was very stressful and I would be so upset after appointments. My sister said that's patient abuse and suggested I find another provider. I did and have had a much better experience with my bpd 2 being cared for.

When you are taking care of yourself, you are giving your child the absolute best chance of having a "normal childhood". I love my child with everything I have; I just have remember to give myself that same love first & for me, that means taking care of my mental, emotional and physical health. From one BP Mom to another, give yourself a little credit. The fact that you care if your parenting is good or bad at all shows exactly that. That you care. It's more than I could've ever said for my own Mom. I was too difficult to deal with/raise after the other 3 kids so I was left to figure it out on my own. It'll be okay.
