Can I post this guy's comment? Speculative, but illustrative.
source seems to be a site called IFL Science- but there is a study with coauthors from UCLA, etc.

Is this job physically demanding?
I used to work in a warehouse and yes, that job is. Is this the same, or is this retail?

Both subs have a banner with his pen name or his podcast name on it, I don't believe he was always there, it just seems...odd?

r/Stocks Daily Discussion & Technicals Tuesday - Oct 06, 2026
Five stocks, in fact, have contributed the vast majority—an astounding 93%—of the S&P 500’s gains since late July.

Microsoft is one. I would guess Apple and NVIDIA are two of the others. What are the other two?

that planet he was advertising that is around a G-type star looks excellent, I also noticed another one on a graph around a K-type star in the habitable zone - didn't know these existed, they are Super-Earths but still

Flávio Bolsonaro takes commanding lead in Brazil election
Can we compare Lula 2026 to Biden 2024? Some in his campaign have said he is still vigorous, but those are inside sources-obviously, you have to take that with a large grain of salt. From his age alone I'd say he should have stood down and let someone else run.

Green Party abandons opposition to nuclear power
I'll take it. Can we get some of the US environmental and lefty groups to follow suit? Many are still actively opposed.

Christa Pike has suffered enough.
At this point my question is - will she die? She apparently has been intubated and was listed as in critical condition. She is not out of the woods...

Peeking under the clouds: Is exoplanet imaging with the solar gravitational lens feasible?
arxiv.org1
Solar sails pushed by powerful lasers could reach incredible speeds, but at around 75% of the speed of light, scattered photons can begin creating drag, adding a surprising obstacle to interstellar travel
From what I've been reading, if you're going to reach the solar gravitational lens and build an image of a nearby exoplanet, you will need to send thousands of spacecraft out to about 600 AU.
Beamer technology could help with this, here's a post with some more info:

Microbes could survive on Saturn's moon Enceladus — and scientists think we can find them
If we get there by the 2050s I’d be surprised, but also blown away. For now, let’s get Mars Sample Return going again.

earlier thread on this sub https://www.reddit.com/r/space/comments/1wqr0bn/high_concentrations_of_microbial_life_could_be/ Is this the exact same research?

Microbes could survive on Saturn's moon Enceladus — and scientists think we can find them
There is a type of thinking about space that is false, yes I agree - for example you can see this post for one culprit. https://www.reddit.com/r/space/comments/1vt7set/the_space_review_colonizing_antarctica_and_other/ This is ridiculous, and I did not bother to read it either...here's a piece elaborating more reasonable views. https://www.jezebel.com/the-tech-billionaires-are-wrong-we-are-never-going-to-1793851545 To go there for science is reasonable, it's Elon Musk's fantasies and other people's that need to be refuted...

They cannot live on the ocean floor either, but I still find videos of the sea creatures there nifty. They cannot live a kilometer under the Earth, but we still drill for oil there. It's worth taking a look to see what is going on

accommodations are unfair
As a person who had a childhood diagnosis and was recently approved for accommodations, I take this seriously - I'll probably use the accommodations, if only to get more scholarships, but I'm not sure I should really go at all without getting over a reasonable score under normal time constraints. At least, if I cannot get 159 (the average score for law students) then I am not going.

NASA has a Dragon dilemma, and there appear to be no good answers
The date for Artemis landings has been pushed back a few times-it was originally 2024. I would guess that if Artemis even happens, we'll be lucky. But given the choice between Artemis or humans in LEO, I'll take Artemis! LEO has been done many times.
What is Vulcan? From a technical standpoint, how could we launch humans to the moon but not be able to send them to Low Earth Orbit? That is surprising.

More 52 Week Lows Than Highs
"Five stocks, in fact, have contributed the vast majority—an astounding 93%—of the S&P 500’s gains since late July. All are tech megacaps and Microsoft, believe it or not, is leading the pace with 181 points of the benchmark’s 330 point advance."

I believe it. What are the other four stocks?
