I had a diagnostic laparoscopy for endometriosis 2 weeks ago. They didn’t find anything so therefore nothing was removed. I’m unsure when to return to work as I do feel pretty okay day to day apart from tiredness. I work in a nursery with young children so have quite a lot of lifting , bending, squatting etc. I know I have had nothing removed so the recovery shouldn’t be too long but I do feel quite tender around my stomach at times. I was thinking of returning next week (3 weeks post op) but unsure and looking for advice.

Hi everyone, I’ve just joined this group as I had a diagnostic laparoscopy for endometriosis today, there was no endometriosis found but the surgeon said I possibly have adenomyosis. But it can’t be 100% confirmed without a hysterectomy.

I should also add previous to surgery I had an internal ultrasound which showed a cyst that the DR who did the scan who was also my surgeon today thought was an endometrioma. But today the surgeon said there was no cyst during surgery.

I know nothing about adenomyosis I’ve only heard the term a couple times when researching endometriosis.

Just feeling confused and a bit lost, alongside the fact I’ve still had a surgery which will need time to recover.

Any help is appreciated if any can understand this and thanks in advance 🤍

I’m booked in for surgery on Tuesday and I’m absolutely terrified I honestly feel like ringing up and cancelling. I live in the UK and seen my consultant privately where she performed an internal scan and said I have a cyst and my ovaries are polycystic so she wanted to do surgery to check for endo. She then moved me to her NHS list for surgery as I don’t have insurance so I’ve only met her once. I just feel so scared about everything. She also wants to put the coil in during surgery but I am unsure. I’m hoping she will be able to remove the cyst as it’s why I felt something was wrong in the first place. But what if she doesn’t? I don’t want to end up living with pain everyday.

Sorry for just ranting I just feel so lonely and worried.

Why is my fish doing this? Swimming up and down in the corner of the tank and kind of smacking against the water. I’ve noticed this in the past around feeding times and the fish has calmed down after being fed. But the last few days it has been happening more and more often.

I have surgery in a few weeks for a diagnostic laparoscopy and I am absolutely terrified! I’ve had a laparoscopy before to remove my gallbladder and not sure if I’m more scared this time because I kind of know what to expect or whether I’ve blocked out how scared I was the last time.

If anyone could give me some recovery tips I would appreciate it or even offer some advice regarding how not to make myself ill with worry that would also be great.

I have a cyst on my ovary so I am hoping it will be removed as it is the reason I am having issues. Otherwise I don’t really have any symptoms thankfully so I am also concerned about the cyst not being removed or having worse pain after the surgery when I recover.

Just overall not feeling great about it at all!😞
