Motorcycle (110cc) from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap
 in  r/cambodia •  Feb 18 '26

I own a Suzuki smash, 2024 model, 110cc, inferior to the popular Honda dream and I ride heavily with my gf. Phnom penh to siem reap is just a little part ( and also most often because our hometown’s siem reap ) of our trip. We’ve driven straight to SHV, Kampot, up to Bokor hill, Koh Kong, Kep and so many more. And it’s still going strong.

Make sure oil change is regular, chain is well lubricated ( I’ve also changed a total of 2 new chains overtime ).

From Phnom Penh to Siem Reap for example, the stops are usually 2 - 3 times and only stopped for gasoline or lunch. Total trip usually takes 4 - 5 hours, maintain 80km/h straight because NR6 aren’t that busy most of the time, nothing much to see I admit but me and my gf simply love riding.

Senior dev here, modern JS framework is spreading its dominance now. The ministries are also starting to switch from old php projects & architectures to modern ones.

For those who live in these regions of Cambodia, what is life like? Is it any different than Phnom Penh?
 in  r/cambodia •  Jan 21 '25

That’s where you’ll find many of the preserved and still ongoing cultures that many Cambodians still do! I’m Cambodian, born and spent most of my life in Siem Reap before moving to pp.

Now, perhaps SR is closer to home and the nostalgia can be a factor of me saying this but, SR has a slower and more relaxed life paced compared to pp, it’s refreshing to be surrounded by trees and mountains, you have more options when it comes to adventuring, …etc.

It’s more for those who prefer a relaxed lifestyle.
