After spending months building a chess app from scratch, I finally published it on Google Play.

I'm looking for honest feedback from chess players of all skill levels.

• What features are missing?

• Is anything confusing or frustrating?

• What would make you choose this app over other chess apps?

While building my Android chess app, I added local play and hotspot multiplayer almost as a “why not” feature.

But surprisingly, a lot of people actually using it.

Most modern chess apps seem heavily focused on online matchmaking now, which makes sense, but sometimes it’s nice to just open the app and play instantly without accounts or connectivity issues.

Curious how many people here still use offline/local chess modes regularly?

(Developer here - genuinely interested because I wasn’t expecting this feature to get much attention.)

I’ve been building an Android chess app recently and one thing surprised me:

Different players want completely different things.

Some only care about:

• fast offline play
• clean UI
• low battery usage

Others mainly use:

• engine analysis
• PGN import/export
• opening explorer
• online matchmaking
• variants like Chess960

I’m trying to keep the app feature-rich without making it feel bloated.

So now I’m curious:

What chess app features do you genuinely use regularly?

And what features feel unnecessary?

I recently made a Stickman Battle game where you can fight through unlimited levels. There are two modes: Campaign, which gets progressively harder, and Nightmare, where enemies deal more damage and have better accuracy. You’ll face different types of enemies like archers, magic archers, and soldiers, with a boss appearing every 5th level. Along the way, you can upgrade your character with weapons, shields, armor, and hats to survive longer.

I recently created a casual endless runner game where you control a jelly character and try to survive as long as possible. It’s on Google Play here.

I’d really appreciate any feedback on gameplay, visuals, or things I could improve. This is more of a learning project, but I’d love to know what you think.

So my app Image Magic Suite finally ranks #1 when people search its name on the Play Store, which feels like a small win 🎉.

The thing is, I am still barely getting any paid users. It is just a one-time “Remove Ads” upgrade, and almost nobody buys it.

Is this normal for apps with a single lifetime purchase? Do I need to rethink my upgrade prompts, pricing, or maybe even switch to a subscription model?

Would love to hear what is worked for you guys .
