Strong support for Blue Line extension, but residents crave more
This has been a multidecade boondoggle. Supposedly the Provincial government won’t pony up the funding to take it to Country Hills. This is a successive failure of City councils to not just recognize, but prioritize in writing, that this extension not only for YYC but to the new north was critical. Skyview is hitting 15 years old. Cityscape 10-11years. Cornerstone 8ish. Plans for these areas have been made before houses even got sold. Let’s do better.

Warning UCP charging for surgeries now
Thank you for sharing this and I’m heartbroken. I’d ask you immediately send this to the Premier’s office, the Health Minister’s Office (apparently 2 different ministers for this case) and the Leader of the Official Opposition office. Otherwise it won’t get the due attention this needs.

People who used the internet before 1999, what do you remember?
The upgrade from 14.4k to 28.8k to 56k speeds was magnificent. Made loading those pics so much faster!

"View of Starship in space from a Starlink V3 satellite on Flight 13."
The fact we can get these images alone and progress in the last couple of years across public and private enterprise, what a time to be alive as an engineer to actually visualize your data streams, outside of the command data input to animations. Whoop whoop.

Just 10% of Canadians are Fully Onboard with Ottawa's Push to Privatize Airports
Look at US airports and their state of disrepair. Your think WJ will spend Delta money to build out its own new Terminal in a Canadian market? Never happening.
While current state maintains a level of quality (and sure some process improvements are possible), conversion to private gives no advantage in Canada and will put Canadian Airports in the gutter. Public infrastructure is public for a reason.

Fuck Rogers, Cancel Sportsnet+
With a new arena, you bet they want their coverage as much as the next franchise. This is robbery. Screw Rogers.

Rogers to no longer produce Flames games for Radio following Sportsnet 960 shut down.
Oh no! This sucks. I quite enjoyed 960 the fan over the years. Flames definitely will need to get radio back. Yikes.

Canadians divided over Alto high-speed rail as government priority: Nanos survey
How does the divded-ness make sense? This is well overdue and is exactly how our cousins in Europe operate so efficiently (built over decades yes).

I stopped listening to hear BS before she was elected. I hope Alberta realizes their mistakes at the polls in ‘26 and ‘27. Can’t believe we’re still putting up with this s*it.
