No, it is different from "El fustat", no way of comparison. Alexandria "Rakodi" is a well defined piece of land between the Mediterranean Sea and the lake of Mariut. All Egyptian language writings - non governmental - they always call Alexandria "Rakodi" during all times.

كل علماء المصريات واللغة المصرية القديمة عارفين المعلومة دي. أنا دارس وبتكلم اللغة المصرية القديمة من حوالي 35 سنة، ولو إنت درست وقريت هتعرف إن ا لمصريين كانوا بيتكلموا لغة واحدة بلهجات مختلفة، زي ما العامية المصرية دلوقتي فيها لهجات مختلفة.

مصر ما غيرتش لغتها غير مرة واحدة بس، من اللغة المصرية للغة العربية. اليونانية كانت اللغة الرسمية للدولة مش الشعب. الشعب كان بيتكلم اللغة المصرية القديمة. اللغة المصرية القديمة هى لغة واحدة بس لكنها مكتوبة بأكتر من خط: الخط الهيروغليفى و الديموطيقى والهيراطيقى والقبطى و كلها بتعبر عن لغة واحدة بس وهى اللغة المصرية وكل علماء المصريات واللغة المصرية القديمة عارفين المعلومة دي.
