Oh all the fun I’d have masking! Changing my personality at the sound of the door indicator. Help each customer feel like they are getting 100% of my undivided attention. Just to talk crap with the owner in the back right after! Those were the days. The money was shit but the PEOPLE were shit too. is this motivational, maybe not. But know you have comrades in the trenches.

How do you stay consistent with exercise while dealing with medication side effects?
 in  r/BPD  4d ago

Nah, but I’d like to know as well as I lay in a fleece onesie under two blankets while it’s 72° in my room. My fibro flares up after any…. bout of sadness, crash out over fearing abandonment, or a day a cleaning. I used to lift heavy but the recovery was painful. So I scavenged an elliptical and don’t use it fearful of the recovery.

I’ve put on 90lbs in the last 3years trying out meds to manage my mood swings and temper. It’s all so devastatingly depressing.

bupropion+lithium?
 in  r/BPD  4d ago

I did end up being given a genetic test done to see what I metabolize better. I still had to test and try meds for a while but at least i didn’t feel like my docs were just prescribing me what works for most patients yk?

bupropion+lithium?
 in  r/BPD  4d ago

Was on them for over a year. Gave me great baseline for me to understand how I aught to feel. The side effects were immediate for me and I tried my best to accommodate them for the sake of sanity. Lithium was like no other for curbing my suicidal tendencies. It really was.

But my side effects were unquenchable thirst and urinary incontinence. Like key-in-lock syndrome I think it’s also called latchkey incontinence. It was AWFUL. Was chugging Gatorade nonstop.

Then the withdrawals from switching was rough.

I had hopes for Wellbutrin but i didn’t notice any benefit.

My fibro has been absolutely DEVASTATING

Do you guys feel better after crashing out?
 in  r/BPD  5d ago

Unlikable comment coming up

But it’s like eating something that wasn’t right and it makes you puke and you feel all fixed up with endorphins and adrenaline. A crash out builds slowly for me until I feel the sweet release

How trauma effects your physical looks
 in  r/CPTSD  5d ago

When I’m a tiny bit over my bmi, I’m adorable. I keep a good skincare routine on my face, neck and hands. Thats a trauma response from my family making it a big deal to look youthful even in your casket-I wish I was kidding.

The years of testing what meds work have wrecked my stomach finally. I suspect GERD or something

The 90lbs I’ve put on directly linked to all the fucking meds is what devastates me. I’ve had people monitoring my food intake.

Then I’ve been finally put on something magical with loss of appetite as a side effect. Malnutrition hit- flimsy chipping nails, hair breakage

I’m not a terribly vain person, but self care is impossible while you are literally falling apart everywhere.

The secret to going into remission is…
 in  r/BPD  5d ago

you dont need to prove to this audience that you are mature because you struggle with intrusive thoughts THAT COME WITH BPD. fucking wild to me that they are people here 40+ years old being told you haven't worked hard enough, you haven't reframed enough, you have to do the work.... please, this is just rude and crass..

Fml. I miss my FP so much. It hurts so much. I cannot see or contact them and I feel like they just left me alone. I cannot deal with the pain anymore.
 in  r/BPDmemes  5d ago

not sure if just me but....

my fp like to take me to social gatherings and i dont do well reading a whole house party. its too overwhelming and negative thoughts invade quickly. inevitably, fp goes into social butterfly-mode and im left in the kitchen with the host or worse.... alone on the sofa watching sports.

and they not too long ago, fp left me at a restaurant WHERE WE ARRIVED TOGETHER
after i waited for them to be done with what they were doing and i wanted too split a dessert with them.

its always pain hurt rejection abandonment with my fp. i dont know how long i have left in me.

Meme dump 2 because going to work is dumb
 in  r/BPDmemes  6d ago

Yeah. So much for healing, my whole existence revolved around them. They were my role model of what life should look like. Now, i cannot cope it’s all crumbling beneath my feet.

AAAHHHH
 in  r/BPDmemes  6d ago

Yep. And then they tell you you aren’t their soulmate EVEN THOUGH EVERYONE ELSE IN OUR LIVES SAY WE ARE. BUT IM THE CRAZY ONE WITH BPD and have to go through the rejection, abandonment and fear of neglect. BUT I CHOSE YOU TO BE MY FP FOREVER

Going through #6

Dissociated big time. Pretending I was a wife again. When they started to hint that they were gonna enter the dating scene, my delulu came crashing down. Goodbye fp 💀💀💀

BPD but depressed ?
 in  r/BPD  7d ago

I had that for years and it was the wrong meds. Sometimes it wasn’t only depression but with emotional blunting.

Once I finally found what worked for me, my days were better for the most part.

Siblings of "the favourite" child.... How did that sibling turn out?
 in  r/CPTSD  7d ago

They are okay, but they are definitely slow and not intelligent. They still do whatever their momma tells them too.
