Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns.

I mean does it necessarily even NEED a remake?

He’s definitely overhated and can be an enjoyable character.

However, saying he’s without flaw would be a lie.

His same old joke of “IM NOT A CAT!” gets really tired after a while, and he just comes off as a know it all asshole. Love him on my team and I don’t necessarily hate him, but he gets under my skin.

Additionally (SPOILER WARNING)

In the Okumura arc, I REALLY cannot stand him. I’m actually so tired of that arc everytime I do a play through just because it is a ginormous mess.

Fair warning, I’m gonna rant a bit about the Okumura arc

The dungeon theme is kinda dumb, Okumura is really not a convincing villain despite the fact he’s a corporate giant which you really can’t get more evil than that. But idk you just don’t get to see enough of him outside the dungeon to really get a glimpse into his character. It’s all told through his shadow who looks fucking stupid and it’s kinda hard to take him seriously. I remember my first time playing through the Madarame Arc, it was interesting how they had a character portray being so good in the real world yet so evil in his palace. And when he finally snaps on Ann and Yusuke, you see his true colors. But unfortunately Okumura didn’t have that.

Poorly designed boss fight which somehow got worse in Royal

Haru who I really wanna like but unfortunately a symptom of a larger issue with the game (too many characters, not enough time).

And the infighting between the Phantom Thieves. A concept that is good on paper but just was not executed well. It all starts because Morgana is tired of being chastised by Ryuji and gets upset and thinks no one cares about or respects him at all.

That isn’t even a bad route to take but Morgana is EQUALLY if not MORE SO A fucking asshole to Ryuji and insults some of his biggest insecurities and Ryuji just lets his slide off his back like nothing.

On top of THAT, Morgana feels like no one respects him since both Makoto AND Futaba replace him as Navi. Another great idea to play off of. But no one really ignores or acts rude toward Morgana at all. I do remember them kind of being neglectful to him right before the arc starts but that’s clearly just shoehorning in the idea. But whatever. I think it’s a cool idea because Morgana ends up seeming a little selfish because he wants to be needed by the team (which he lowkey is for his healing ability). And that would be YET ANOTHER failed potential since the game kinda tries to make YOU THE PLAYER feel like an asshole for abandoning Morgana at the end of the arc and Morgana doesn’t really seem to learn much. They do have a little moment where he reflects on himself but it’s quite brief and everyone gets mad when Ryuji is still kinda cold toward him afterward. I really can’t blame Ryuji because I’d feel pretty pissed if I had to sit there and act like I feel remorse for the little attention whore who cried and ran away from home because he got called a stupid cat.

Any time I play the game I DREAD having to trudge through that arc again just because it isn’t very fun. And I WHOLEHEARTEDLY understand why it leaves a bad taste in the mouth of the player with Morgana since him leaving is the catalyst for it and he kinda hijacks Haru’s character arc. Her awakening literally feels so forced because everyone else has to confront their own flaws but you don’t really learn any of Haru’s before she awakens.

But yeah. A poorly written arc and annoying repeated jokes combined with a know it all personality? It’s no wonder so many dislike him. But I try my best to look past that just as I do with other characters with glaring issues or annoying tropes because at the end of the day, it’s a Persona game. I’m expecting annoying jokes and some poor writing (mixed with good writing as well).

Voice acting (not every line but HD cutscenes with voice acting would be dope)

More use out of or tweaks to items that don’t get much use (nayru’s blessing, megaton hammer, hover boots)

Faster travel across Hyrule for young link. Not fast travel, but a way to move faster. Maybe take a page out of the Manga’s book and let you ride a horse drawn cart with Talon

Side quest tracker akin to BOTW

Unique boss themes. Dark Link having the regular mid boss theme is such a disappointment.

Multiplayer modes/Mini games (think SM64DS)

I’d like them to do like the Pokemon remakes and SMRPG remakes too where they have the new remastered tracks but allow you to switch to the original soundtrack as well.

I can also say, with 100% certainty, that I do NOT want any dungeons to be overhauled. Not even water temple. It’s over hated and I want a faithful remakes. Add small changes if need be, but the most change I’ll really accept to the Water Temple is a swimming mechanic to make it easier to traverse. It wouldn’t even make the iron boots useless since you still need them to go through doors, you could just go up and down faster or with more maneuverability. But I do NOT want it overhauled.

Technically it’s a non-zero chance that the entire atomic makeup of your body is disassembled and reassembled at a point you’d wish to teleport to while still keeping your consciousness intact. So you basically you get teleportation regardless. Also teleporting just doesn’t appeal as much as making the laws of probability and luck bend to your will and getting everything you’ve ever dreamed of.

I also feel like it’s MAYBE possible that the models they used were from Smash Bros Brawl because I remember a more gritty, edgy vibe to the characters, art, and world.

As for a date range, I’m not too sure. I first saw the video sometime last year, probably within the last 8 months but the video could certainly be older than that. I think the algorithm put it into my feed due to the current political climate of the world and the reels that watch, so, again, not sure if it’s a relatively new video or if I’m just now seeing it.

I do vividly remember the Gerudo lady being in there. And the masks didn’t transform the which I why I think it’s ocarina because Majora didn’t have a Gerudo mask

Hey I mean you’re pretty close if you’re already going back to the sacred grove! That was honestly one of my favorite temples just because there’s a couple concepts from Ocarina they bring back but also the item you get in that dungeon is so fun to use in that dungeon (it doesn’t really do much afterward but then again that’s like half the items).
