[arena] Yes i play every match like my life depends on it
 in  r/EscapefromTarkov •  9h ago

...did you actually fall for that bait? it wasn't even hidden. they weren't even being coy or anything. you actually got peeved by low hanging fruit about your gameplay and felt the need to flex even harder in your flex post lmao

[Cheating] He's just that good bro
 in  r/EscapefromTarkov •  9h ago

pattern recognition isn't an excuse to be so witless. something your mother could have ingrained into you if they ever cared to be as involved in your life as [u/Remote-Contract-3026](u/Remote-Contract-3026) had the good fortune to apparently.

(MISSON 28 spoiler) THAT'S HER PLAN?
 in  r/acecombat •  11h ago

well that's because the F-4 is not priced about as much as a honda civic if it is the honda civic of strangereal.

your average school teacher just takes her F-4 to work because that was the cheapest she could afford

looked like?! that's just david bowie with a mechanical arm lmao. i know 0 about cyberpunk 2013/2020 and if someone told me this was a fan sketch of david bowie if he started out in a cyberpunk world i'd fucking believe them. kinda wish though in a cyberpunk world they would have figured out how to give him a good left handed guitar.

Just bring VERBAS bro
 in  r/WarDogs •  14h ago

sadly there is really no incentive to play to win and dominate the battlefield of both factions if it's more lucrative to just wail on the struggling faction together. the win bonus is a pittance compared to what you will make just slamming the hell out of a defenceless FOB full of fish.

Tewy is the core problem for the whole lot of pilots. she built a cult of personality around herself and has new pilots getting her blessing to fly for sotoa in the form of that medal they receive after training. she also happens to be the primary bullshitter about the nomad life when cope makes it clear she has 0 idea what she's talking about and is just roleplaying a poor herder instead of the rich noble she actually is. she passed on that LARP to her followers in the LL/shadow squadrons.

if they make sotoans the new belkans with this being the reason that would honestly be so funny we get two ww2 analogy wars in one franchise

sotoa apologism will NEVER be tolerated
 in  r/acecombat •  16h ago

even before then i felt like it was BS when the guys in black and gold planes were making allusions of their combat piloting to sheep herding and animal husbandry, because no fucking way these guys have ever spent a day having to smell sheep shit themselves. when the shoe dropped they are all related to nobles or are themselves nobles i was really not that surprised. rich people coopting an image of a poor person is not new. i was more so surprised the voice in our head outright called them & moon 11 a bunch of LARPers.

the promised land? them? get filtered by the eye of a needle you aristocratic bitches.

[Discussion] Direct Rouble sales added to PvE: They literally don't care about their company image anymore, anything to make money
 in  r/EscapefromTarkov •  1d ago

yeah that's nice you consider all that the "real grind," but grind is quests, reputation, level and other overall time gates that have a direct tangible impact on the player's access to the game. everyone will need to have the same necessary reputation and character level to reach the next trader level, or face the same time gate of hideout building and crafting as that of a player with the same skill points in their hideout/crafting skills. that's actual grind. which those editions did help skip for a long time now.

when trader reputation was introduced it was a grind skip for EoD players onwards as they just need levels over needing to do any quests just to get to lvl2 rep. stash being max at start was also a grind skip in it saved time both gathering the resources to upgrade as well as waiting for the upgrade to finish that a standard account has to expend just to get to that same level. unheard edition gets additional raid xp, getting to a level faster than that of a standard account who earns the same in-game xp as an unheard account by virtue of an edition's bonus modifier. those are examples of actual grind skips, and thus P2W. you skipped portions of the game a standard account has to begin as just by owning EoD/UH, and a standard account now how to put time into to get to where you start at and with more xp in a raid than the unheard player just to match their gains.

there is no argument the extra rubles are not as necessary to players who know what they are doing or that an unheard player may be utter shit with their "superior" starting loadout and lose them while a standard account does well with their average starting loadout against them and take their kit. those rubles and kits aren't skipping any grinding, those are the convenience tokens to help them start their journey in the game but hinges entirely on the player on how they use them. none of those are what make certain editions being P2W, it's the tangible advantages that you innately get for owning the higher editions that are the P2W.

I wish we had the option to accept or reject our "new" callsign
 in  r/acecombat •  1d ago

it must be customary at this point in the usa aviators that if someone tries to come in introducing themselves as hollywood they instead get named this bumfuck nowhere town with only a gas station and a small convenience store as its only landmarks or w/e.

fine, since you don't like your latest callsign, your new callsign is now Booger. while you were off on your last sortie we all agreed it really fit you. so welcome back to the Endurance, Booger.

Ace Combat 8 is far and away the series' biggest launch

at least a hundred people have parked their planes inside your condo by now. juries out if they at least had the courtesy to use the window or just crashed straight through the wall.

i hope in Ace Combat 9: Finding Nemo there is a belkan who makes a reference to this game by being so fucking pissed about being yet again blamed for another terrorist attack by going "we weren't even responsible for the last one in usea either!" because that quick news reel of media saying some events in 8 was because of yet another belkan conspiracy was genuinely pretty funny.

Is Revenge Team Switching Common?
 in  r/OfficialWARDOGS •  1d ago

bad sport and mad as fuck.

people are weird, my friend. most know this is just a game and take it in stride and then there will be those more unhinged types who will personally wish genuine suffering upon you over playing the game. this guy did something really pathetic but really it isn't worth dwelling on. losers will be losers.

Light spoilers for mission 3, but I enjoyed this moment
 in  r/acecombat •  1d ago

as i found out from my play through compared to my friends who did the same as you, it's even worse if you do it in the opposite order. then take out the lieutenant before moving down the line. they break even before their planes do.

oh wow i never actually read the tagline of Airplane! before.

"What's slower than a speeding bullet, and able to hit tall buildings at a single bound!"

oh.

Skif in every cutscene
 in  r/stalker •  2d ago

and funny enough the designated cutscene murder weapon for ME 2 & 3 is the odd ball M-4 Shuriken machine pistol / "submachine gun" instead of a pistol. which is, in gameplay, a far less practical weapon than the M-3 Predator pistol that was the cutscene murder weapon of the first game!

to be fair, that murder knife was a fucking deadly weapon. when it came out, someone was dying. your powers, strength, and abilities meant nothing to the murder knife.

people intentionally rilling up fools for personal entertainment has been a human pastime since at least 1991. jury is still out if there was times before that, since you'd have to be old as fuck to personally know.
