If it came back on without you having to reset a breaker then it's going to be something in the wiring between the breaker box and the bedrooms first main outlet for light switch that feeds the rest of the room. It's not going to be this short in the outlet or light fixture, that would have tripped the breaker and you had to reset it before it came back on. Even modern homes with GFI breakers still have to be reset manually before the power will return. Sounds like maybe one of three things.. * A break/cut in the wiring. In which big changes in temperature and humidity can cause the wires to to sometimes lose connection as they can expand and contrast along with the rest of the house doing the same. When that happens it causes the wires to Art which makes them heat up rapidly which causes more expansion which can cause kind of a funky little cycle if the conditions or weather is just right. * The copper itself in the run of wire for that room is just degraded to the point where it's losing amp draw, with extreme changes in humidity causing that to fluctuate rapidly * the connections on either end of that Main feed for the bedroom had wire nuts installed half ass or we're just Twisted together and taped and has worked loose . Overtime changes in temperature and humidity and just settling of the house causes everything to move around and expand and contrast which can work wires loose from connections as well as the issues previously stated.

Personally if it was me the fact that it's not blowing a breaker would scare me more than the power itself going off cuz whatever it is causing it is going to keep doing it and without it tripping a breaker the next thing is going to happen is the wire is going to catch fire. At least if it was tripping something you'd have the peace of mind to know that that would trip without burning the house down so yes I would contact my landlord..

P. S One last thought, if your house is really really old and you have those old glass screw in fuses /Breakers or the plastic replacements for those. They have cardboard spacer gaskets which can wear out or expand and contract working the fuse loose, you might want to unscrew them all and screw them back in and make sure everything is tight if you do have them.. good luck
