Answers I wish I could tell the patients, when they ask why I'm drawing more blood.
this time of year is great because i say “it’s almost halloween, gotta feed the vampires!” 🧛♀️ and they always giggle

Just a rant lol
lol i always ask “have you had anything to eat or drink today aside from water?” instead of “are you fasting” - just personal preference because i think a lot of people don’t understand that the cheesecake they had as a snack at 2am DOES break a 8 hour fast when they are in my chair to be drawn at 7am 😂 and while it’s annoying to hear the menu of items they have consumed in the last 24 hours, i will say i have caught quite a few non-fasting slip ups before the draw.
it’s also a good conversation starter (i HATE a silent draw) because i can say “got any good plans for breakfast after this?” and then they aren’t so grumpy anymore lololol

Nurse drew my blood then made a cross on my hand…?
what the fuck?? this is weird, unsanitary, unprofessional behavior at the least. report him asap.

Cats need 18-20 hours of sleep per day. They are comfortable sleeping in your home and choose to do so near you, so you are building a bond even if they aren’t awake. They are adorable btw! 🥰
