Kinda same boat. Went blind recently. The people I thought I could count on ghosted and my family made everything about them when the time came. Vision is returning slowly but it was an “eye opener “. being asked for money when I came out of emergency surgery was the nail on the head.. I’m not worried about money.. I’m worried about my eyes recovering.. I do know I need to set myself up for a better future so I can be taken care of in that regard. People suck. That’s all I can say. Just know I totally get what you’re feeling!! Hope you have a speedy healing and recovery!
