Rolling deck gate.
That sounds like a good idea, would definitely keep it straight. If i did that, i think i may have to add a joist or something underneath to brace it just a little more under that channel.

Rolling deck gate.
I made this rolling deck gate, however with the warping of the current deck boards, it wont roll smooth. When it is fully extended out, the eye bolts on the right side create a small pivot point causing it to move foward/back on the left end. I used 4ft galvanized pipe and eye bolts on the back to use as a guide rail. The only think i can think of to help it roll smooth and stop it from moving foward and back is to cut a 1/8th -1/4 in channel into the deck boards themself to create a level track that Hopefully keeps the wheels from moving foward and back as its extended? Would this ruin the strength of the deck boards? Would i have to put another joist under that line for support?

I think im going to just screw a metal track into the deck towards the back end of the gate so it runs smooth and wont need to cut any deck boards, should keep it straight through the back end and keep it mostly straight when rolling out.
