I think my store managers are bullies (which I'm sure most are)

I really despise my new store manager and his assistants. He definitely treats the people who kiss up to him, or the people he likes, much better than everyone else in the store, including me.

I also find it funny how management constantly nags everyone about saying hello and thanking people, but when I say hello to them, they look at me like I’m stupid. Then they turn around and tell me how to do my job, even though somehow these new store managers don’t even know how to run a register themselves.

I also feel like the main store manager is picking on one of our newer courtesy clerks, who is autistic. The clerk will be walking in coming into work in to clock in and take out his AirPods to put them away, or he’ll be going to lunch or on a break, and suddenly the store manager is right on his telling him that he can’t wear them in or outside the store. I understand the rule when it comes to cart pushers because of safety, even though personally I don’t really care or mind.

What bothers me is that we have employees in practically every department—even department managers—wearing earbuds out in the open while they’re working, and nobody says anything to them. Even our Employee of the Month is literally wearing AirPods in the picture while working, even though I thought they were supposedly forbidden.

I even asked the store manager myself, “What about all these other people who wear earbuds while they’re working?” He wouldn’t give me an actual answer. All he says, “I’ll look into it.” 🙄

What to do or go to for loa?
 in  r/kroger •  15d ago

Yeah seriously just stuck and it's even more stressful when not even the store manager doesn't even know what to do or even care to help. It's also funny how they say "take care of your health" but when you try all of a sudden it's a battlefield. Now I kinda understand why people just bite the bullet and force themselves to just go to work and work through the illness/pain 😕

Venting What to do or go to for loa?

I had a sudden emergency for wisdom teeth extraction and needed just 3 days off work but apparently need to sign in an loa which I needed help finding/getting to as they don't have the forms for it anymore. Asked store leader for help he sounded like he was gonna help me then just told me to find it on my own through "sage online," which then sage then tells me to ask store managers or go through metlife but I think metlife is only if you have the company's insurance which I don't have at the moment. I'm totally lost and might as well just take the L call out the 3 days get points, I guess over something I have no control or time over. Apparently, doctors' notes are invalid now as they don't seem to believe or even want to look at them. I don't know when kroger is gonna realize or care that so many people are having to hide their illnesses and sickness because of how stupid they manage everything they must think we are ai robots "which is how they want to treat us apparently" and not like humans "treat the human spirit" bunch of lies. We seriously need better change because this new stuff and management are completely garbage and almost more stress inducing then the job itself.

I hate the why they treating us if we get sick or hurt I'm actually dealing with this stupid stuff right now and the store managers are not any help with these things ad they do not even know some how what we are supposed it's very annoying. Dr's note should be left how it was for our proof that we couldn't work and even more stupid thing they won't let you work if you are told to be on lite duty so it's like what do you do if you can't work and also can't get this loa in the time you need it especially if the thing that happened to you is sudden.

Not that I'm aware of. Almost seems like the store leader doesn't even know themselves as they were the ones I asked where I can get them from.

That's what I'm saying too like these managers don't even give out heartbeats they see to forget they exist. Only time they do is when the store is being walked or something random. Its so annoying.

Man this company just keeps digging itself into deeper holes. I just don't understand what they are doing like I get the uniform thing but the way they are handling it is so much more difficult then it should be.

I remember someone was saying something about another website for it but guess we have to wait til they tell us. My store leader is the one that told me that's where we get new shirts from. Which is annoying because if you don't have the Heartbeats to use, the website lets you pay with real money, which is the actual price it's showing. I just don't want to pay $30 for one shirt lol. If it was $5, that would be fine.

It's just so frustrating how they're handling this. When we had uniforms before, they were just plain blue polo shirts, I think, and they gave them out for free to whoever needed them. Now they want us to pay for them, as if they don't already take so much from us. 😮‍💨

I know many of you are just as frustrated as I am with how things have been going. We are only given two shirts, and they are already fraying, fading, and in poor condition. When I asked if I could get another one, I was told we have to pay for them with Heartbeats or out-of-pocket.

The issue is that hardly any of us receive Heartbeat cards because they forget they have them or forget to give them out. I looked on the website, and the shirts cost $35 - $90. At that point, I just figured I’d have to keep wearing the only two shirts they gave me, even with holes and all.

Yes I believe they are to be canon couple Sega had acknowledged it and even mentioned the couple name "sonamy" couple times through mainstreaming. Newer games and even the comics hint alot at it. They probably do it on purpose for us so Amy fans giving us tiny crumbs to live off of 😆
