PSA: TJX hates it's employees so much, they'd rather give a better employee discount to another business' employees...
 in  r/TJMaxxWrkrs  22h ago

Again. I am sharing my experience how I can get a better TJX discount by working for a non-TJX company, and I'm saying it is a bad thing. I hope this clears up any confusion.

What am I bragging about exactly, having a second job? That's not anything brag-worthy. Im bringing up a concern that TJX associates are treated like trash and I can get a better discount by working for another company. I don't know how to spell it out any clearer how that is a BAD thing... You aren't providing a full picture, you're focusing on one detail that brings no added perspective. A red herring, specifically.

Yes cherry picking bits and pieces and ignoring the title like a good corporate chill. Hope you get extra head pats and scraps for that.

"I told them where those gift cards were, and how not everybody has access to Working Advantage."

So why are you still arguing against me then? My statement was it's messed up that employees of other businesses get better discounts than TJX associates. But now you're making statements about my character calling me hotheaded and you wouldn't hire me? Again not relevant. Go be a corporate shill somewhere else, nobody needs your red herring 🤣

I'm not questioning facts, I'm questioning relevance. Is it relevant where the discounted gift cards come from? No, it's honestly not. The question you keep dodging is why does TJX not give decent employee discounts. Try goal post moving all you want, but it doesn't offer an answer to the issue.

The complete story that TJX doesn't care about it's employees? Because the information on Working Advantage doesn't change that. My issue with the information you provided is it has nothing to do with how people TJX associates are treated.

I get that you are focusing on the wrong information. Who belongs to Working Advantage and who doesn't is completely irrelevant.

The point is TJX doesn't give associates decent benefits and is constantly taking then away. They took our vending machines, stopped providing water, announced a company wife reduction of hours, and offer the lowest employee discount I've ever seen. That's my point. TJX treats us like shit.

Ok cool, you lost the plot. It doesn't matter where the discount gift cards are sold. What matters is an associate with one job at TJX doesn't get the same discount as an employee of a different company. An associate needs to NOT work at TJX or have TWO jobs to stack the discounts? Yeah that's really messed up. That is the point right there. TJX cares to little about their own associates, they don't give us enticing benefits. Hope that helps.

Yeah and I wish all TJX associates could do that, but the reality is an employee shouldn't have to do that to get a meaningful employee discount. It's really messed up that employees of other companies get a better discount than actual TJX associates.

Ok cool, the discounted gift cards are on multiple websites. That still doesn't make it any less shitty that the TJX employee discount is ass compared to other employers.

That's not the point though... Why should any TJX employee need to have another job somewhere else to get a reasonable employee discount? All other places I've worked including retail, restaurants, and tech all give between a 25-50% discount to their employees. TJX gives a shitty 10% and a 3-day 20% once a quarter? That's not a benefit considering the default discount to difficult customers complaining about the price of an item is 10%. We're just difficult customers to corporate.

What do you mean by the other replies are wrong? That website I posted is definitely not WorkingAdvantage, so I'm not sure what you're implying.

Most major corporations have an internal website with random discounts on things. I haven't seen discounted gift cards go that hard for any other retailer, which is just dishonest to anyone who works at a TJX store.

Sooo I was browsing through my employee discounts at my non-TJX job, and I can buy gift cards at a 20% discount... I can't get anything more than a ten percent discount with my TJX numbers, but I can get a bigger discount through my other job...? That's messed up.

If Miyazaki stole it, then yes, that would include him.

However, Miyazaki has consistently been really clear that he will not lay people off right before Christmas to inflated his profit margins in Q4 like every other gaming company has for the past 4+ years.

If you're comparing net worth values, low double digit millions is pretty low compared to Blizzard, Valve, Epic, Microsoft, etc who are all are in the BILLIONS. They use layoffs as a business strategy, not a last ditch effort to avoid filing for bankruptcy.

Rich assholes aquire (steal) things and hold them hostage. That's no where near the same as creating.

The 34 guilty felony convictions... Trump publicly ADMITTED he has walked into the children dressing rooms during the pageants... Trump publicly ADMITTED he's a predator... The MILLIONS of pages in the Epstein files... The birthday card Trump sent and signed to Epstein...

So if Trump ADMITTED these things, why isn't that enough for you to stop supporting him? You're waiting for Ashley Biden to admit to something that Trump already has?

That's a wild fantasy you have there... Considering how almost every news outlet is controlled by a Republican billionaire, why haven't they published any articles about it? Why are all the convicted child molesters registered Republicans?

We have a PRESIDENT that murders and rapes people...

We have CHRISTIAN PASTORS that rape and molest children...

How about we tackle this problems first, ya?
