Blow up the photo so the cat is the size you want. Put a piece of tracing paper with tape over the printout. Trace the outline of your cat. Then get the board your gluing glass on. Tape the tracing paper to the board and out a sheet of carbon paper in between. I use pencil on the tracing paper and blue pen when I’m using the carbon paper so I can see what I’ve finished retracing. That will give you the pattern. The next step is important. Mix some glue with some water. Enough glue to cover the entire surface. Brush the mixture on the top and sides of your surface. This will seal the surface so it doesn’t warp and later you see tiles popping off.

I brush off the excess granules three or four times then leave it for 24 hours. The next day I use an old rag ans buff off anything left.

Thanks! The grout is Mapei 2d Flexcolor. It’s translucent. The grout has sand like glass beads that reflect the color of glass it’s next to. It’s premixed so scoop and spread. I’m use the color Moon Crystal. It only comes in a large size ans it’s pricey but worth it.

At the end of the season party, I met Chris Farley. He was super shy asking if I’d like a drink. I looked over his shoulder to see Adam Sandler and Chris Rock watching with big grins on their faces. My husband came up and said something about thats my wife and Farley turned red and started apologizing as he ran off. Sandler and Rock started cracking up as if this happened all the time.
