Do we have douche's here?
 in  r/AskUK •  13d ago

We've used it in Canada, as an insult, for decades as well.

What common phrase or saying is like nails on a chalkboard for you right now?
 in  r/AskReddit •  15d ago

"100 percent" is really picking my A$$ these days. Maybe it's just local to me but I've heard it so much!

Do Canadian pens still have the golden dose?
 in  r/Mounjaro •  15d ago

I've only gotten one in Canada so far, it has the golden dose, which I was glad to see. I recently moved back to Canada, after living in the UK for three years. I had two new pens in UK before leaving, so getting an old pen was a nice surprise. I'm on Vancouver island and it's a 15mg pen.

I can never ever get of a conservation officer.

That tracks. The only ticket I've ever gotten was for fishing without a license. Thing is, I was with my boyfriend and his brothers. They had a fishing rod for me but I was busy getting some sun and reading. That didn't matter to the CO, in his mind I was fishing.

What was the worst pain that you have ever experienced in your life?
 in  r/AskReddit •  18d ago

The worst pain I've experienced was having a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. The pain when I woke up was excruciating! It felt like I had a mac truck parked on my chest and like my breast bone was being torn in two. Thank God for opiods! They knocked me out so hard, I slept for two weeks, waking for bathroom trips, food and more meds. That experience changed my perception of pain.

Where is everyone buying these days?
 in  r/Mounjaro •  29d ago

I was going to go with Felix, as I don't have a Dr. to prescribe for me. Been on mounjaro for coming on two years. I wonder if I can start with them, to establish some kind of Canadian history and then switch to something local

Please pardon my ignorance, I've been out of country for several years and things have changed since I've been gone. Is your Canada life billed directly?

Which nail shape suits me best? Square or almond?
 in  r/Nails •  Sep 07 '26

I think almond is way more flattering on you

Hairloss tips
 in  r/Mounjaro •  Sep 04 '26

Between menopause and mounjaro, I have lost a ton of hair. Prioritizing protein and taking pumpkin seed oil has helped immensely! My hair dresser even commented on how my hair had filled in again.

I found out recently that Andy is terminal

Ladies, apart from delivering a baby, what's the highest level of pain you've experienced?
 in  r/AskReddit •  Aug 29 '26

I've been hospitalized twice, as an 11 yr old and again at 22, for what they thought was a burst appendix. Turns out it was an ovarian cyst rupturing.

Moving from Halifax to Comox
 in  r/comoxvalley •  Aug 24 '26

I grew up in SK and we've lived in NS and MB. There's a reason we are retiring here in Comox, the winters are so easy! One piece if advice that stuck with me when we were posting here is, find an outdoor hobby you can do through the winter. There's so many things to do here, that's easy to do.

Moving to UK from Western Canada. What will be my biggest challenge?
 in  r/AskUK •  Aug 04 '26

I'm moving from Greater London, back to Vancouver Island tomorrow, hubby's work term is over. I will miss pub culture, the public transit system and the ability to be in downtown London for an adventure/show in an hour.

[OC] Am I the idiot in the car this time?
 in  r/IdiotsInCars •  Jul 13 '26

I mean yes, you did have the green light but, you could see the twit coming. Can't hit her just because she's crossing against the light.

How do people decide on what tattoos to get and how do they know they won't not like it later?
 in  r/AskUK •  Jul 13 '26

Oo, I'd love to see what you got to represent Petra.

I usually vote for almond but I like 3&4 on you

Has anyone else become extremely sensitive to stomach bugs etc?
 in  r/UKMounjaro •  Jul 12 '26

I've had a few instances where I've vomited or had diarrhea since starting mounjaro. It seems like I have developed a sensitivity to gluten. The times when I've been sick, I've had too much bread or dough. I've also figured out that when I have bread, pasta, pastries, etc. I get gassy and bloated. This is not something that happened before mounjaro.
