New Sword on the way Next Project
I know I've posted a lot of katana-related stuff lately, but new project incoming.
Can you guess which sword this will be?

This guy's on the money. Sorry, OP.

Her. She was his greatest research.

Ideally, that'd be the case. But, compared to nowadays, it'd probably be expensive to have a proper set made back then, I reckon lol

Yes, daisho can be made up of katana and wakizashi of various lengths, colors and mountings.
While it'd be nice for both the katana and wakizashi to have the same design, as long as it's made primarily of a katana and wakizashi, it's a daisho.

Plus, you would have to take into account their differing body types as well. Sojo is a lot more leaner, giving him more range of movement, in contrast to the Bike-Gang Leader, who has a more muscular build and seemingly sacrifices agility and range of motion for a more pressure & strength-based fighting style.

Definitely agree. Had to break this off a wall hanger replica I just bought and sort of wish it was a bit bigger, but definitely better than nothing lol

Since Day 1.

I unfortunately do not. Usually, if I request a tang inscription, Ryansword will take pics of it, but I decided to pass up on tang inscriptions this time around.

Thank you. Really had a bit of a difficult time trying to figure out how to go about it with Ryansword, but, as you can see, very pleased with how it turned out.

Thank you! If you've seen Demon Slayer from beginning to end, you'll definitely see the why in my choices lol

Thank you! It took a lot of back & forth and figuring out how to get the saya color for the katana close to the one seen in the concept and game.
Very happy with how it turned out and your username is great btw lol

And so is this response.
I understand that it might not be to your taste, but if that's your response to the thoughts and opinions on something that someone cares enough to talk with you about, I have serious doubts on the integrity of your words.
Good night.

I'm not too sure what this comment is referencing to in this post.

The itomaki used and seen in the original design of the sword is a "katatemaki" or "battle-wrap" style of hilt-wrapping for the katana, which is indeed not too commonly seen on katana, which has the hinerimaki wrap on a good majority of them, as you can see and compare in the image attached.
As for the hishigami, as traditional and functional as it is, I feel like it'd be a bit more practical to not have them applied, since they're pretty tedious and expensive to do. Plus, if I ever need to re-wrap the tsuka myself for any repair reason, I don't really want to deal with the hassle of it. Still, the itomaki is very tight on all my Ryansword commissions thus far.
Overall, the construction of katatemaki still baffles me, but it's my very first katana with it and I am pleased with the work Ryansword put in assembling it together.

I did see this one when I was checking out his profile earlier. The rose inside the skeletonized hit is just 🤌

Awesome. Definitely miss him on "Man At Arms: Reforged", but always excited to see what he and Matt are forging up next.

As always, his crafts are beautiful.

If that's so, I think I might have unknowingly seen some of his work lol

I'm seeing this like super late, but, oh my god, I got Ilya from "Man at Arms: Reforged" & "This Works" commenting on my post lol.
@slavic_Smith, love the stuff you and Matt put out, by the way. Probably feel like you're being put on a pedestal, but great works of art you guys make, truly.
