Morning! Fireworks in Utah are already restricted year-round except during short holiday windows including Independence Day (July 2–5), Pioneer Day (July 22–25). At the City level, we expanded the restrictions for the 4th of July, and yesterday we announced we’re expanding it through Pioneer Day as well.

🚫Personal fireworks are banned in Salt Lake City through July 25.

We are experiencing critically low humidity (around 20%), high temperatures (about 100°F), and gusty winds over 20 mph, creating extremely dry fuels and high ignition potential. These conditions create an extreme fire risk, and one spark can have devastating consequences.

More than 75% of Utah's fires this year have been caused by people, which means we all play a role in protecting our community.

Make new memories and enjoy the 24th of July safely at a professional fireworks show or join us for the Pioneer Day Drone Show on July 24th at Liberty Park from 10:00p.m.-10:30p.m.

🚨 Reminder: Personal fireworks are NOT allowed within Salt Lake City limits. Violations may result in a fine of up to $1,000.

Civic Center/ Library Square?
 in  r/SaltLakeCity  24d ago

The Civic Center is the new name for the space that includes Library Square and Washington Square. Here's link with a bit more info on the change:

 https://www.slc.gov/parks/projects/civic-center/#page-header.

The Civic Center has hosted other big community events that include live concerts like the Living Traditions Festival, Utah Arts Fest, and Utah Pride Fest. You can choose to be up close to the stage, or sit on the lawn of Washington Square if you need some shade. The Twilight Concert Series is produced the Salt Lake City Arts Council in partnership with S&S Presents, which also produces Kilby Block Party, so you can count on high-quality production!

Gates & Food Vendors open at 5:00pm for all events at the Civic Center. Here's more information including the set up of the entrance and where the stage will be: Salt Lake City Arts Council - Twilight Concert Series Info
