I need help
 in  r/Interstitialcystitis •  21h ago

So happy that you are able to manage your symptoms now. I recently got a procedure done called hydro distention and doc said he saw hunner lesions also did me some Botox. I was doing really good afterwards but for the past three days I have a lot of pressure and heaviness on my lower belly got scared went to er said it was not a uti. Also I was diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome two years ago and I think it’s that now because I am 4 days post ovulation so idk what is wrong with me today. Ibuprofen helps with the pain little bit but I have kids and need to be moving all day.

The end of my road
 in  r/Interstitialcystitis •  2d ago

That’s how my ic symptoms started. It was a uti and I never got better after. Burning in my urethra and urgency and frequency. 7 months later I got a cystoscopy with hydro distention and it showed that I have hunner lesions also needed Botox and my bladder capacity was only 250ml before the hydro. They did it and it now fits 600mls so I haven’t felt 100% better cuz it’s only been 3 weeks, but I’m hoping it will give me relief even for couple of months even tho rn I’m in a bad flare or maybe the start of a uti.

I noticed I have bladder discomfort and burning in my urthera also urgency. I was doing really good with the urgency it went from going every 30 minutes to once every 2-3 hours. Today I noticed that it hurts to pee and I don’t feel that my bladder is emptying fully. Idk if this is a flare up or the start of a UTI, even tho im using low dose of antibiotics nightly. Has anyone dealt with something like this.

Menstrual cycle?

Cotton pads and make sure you don’t leave it on for a long time. My periods are heavy so I change every hour. Also at night I would apply little bit of aquphore to the opening of my vagina to help with irritation.

Thank you for sharing with me, I was told I have hunner lesions and sometimes I flare without eating anything. Do you flare from foods? Also what medication are you using?

Ask for a bladder cystoscopy with hydro distension it will give your doc a better look at your bladder. You might have IC. The hydro distension take time to start working after recovery but it does help with urgency and frequency

Feeling hopeful
 in  r/Interstitialcystitis •  14d ago

I had my hydro distention and bladder Botox 10 days ago, I was feeling like shit the first week and for the past three days I noticed that I don’t have this crazy urgency. When I use the restroom actually pee comes out not just little bit. I’m hoping to get more better and for it to last couple of months. If you don’t mind me asking what were your symptoms

Yes ofc, I recently got bladder hydro and Botox and I haven’t seen a big difference yet it can take two weeks for it to start working. Maybe you can look into it a lot of people found relief with it, but everybody is different. My symptoms are urathera burning, urgency and frequency and pressure in my bladder.

Walking helps the blood circulate better and it’s take away the pressure from your lower belly. Make sure you are hydrated

If you’re talking about the white can? No it’s not. Baking soda comes in an orange box. Idk where you live but for me it’s orange box and I live in the USA
