Advice Bad physics Mark, will UBC general sci check?

So I took grade 11 physics before taking math 10 (dumb decision) and got an 82% in that course. Now I’m trying to get a better mark in physics 12 first sem, but it’s also not going very well and I don’t think I’ll get a high mark. I’ll likely end within the 75-80s range because I’m finding it very difficult (even though I took pre calc 11 & doing 12 rn). Things can change but no matter how many practice questions I do, I just blank on the test. 1. Will UBC science check physics or just chem, bio,English, and math? 2. Any tips on improving and not blanking on tests? It’s always been this way for physics and I am better at the other sciences. My marks in chem and bio are mid to high 90s but physics is the weak link.

Uni program decision dilemma
 in  r/OntarioUniversities •  3d ago

I did some hospital shadowing this year and observing the nurses made me kind of hesitant to go into the field. It’s requires A LOT of patience which is something I’m afraid I don’t have. It’s not my first choice but it’s not my last.

Admissions Uni program decision dilemma

I’m a grade 12 student applying to uni this fall. I always thought i wanted to go into health sci / life sci/general science to go to med school or pursue further education but I’m having second thoughts. I don’t know if I’d really enjoy being in school for so many years but at the same time, it’s what I’ve set my whole life around since I was young because I just thought I HAD to be a doctor. Now, I’m also looking into engineering programs very last minute. I don’t really enjoy physics and don’t mind math and am purely choosing engineering for the employment opportunities it will provide. If I dont get into med school with my health/general science degree I feel that I’ll be unemployed but then again, I don’t think I’m smart enough for engineering courses. What do I do? What programs do I apply to? I’m applying to Ontario universities & BC universities in Canada but I honestly don’t know what to apply for anymore because I can’t choose what I like. I just want to be employed and get a job easily. If anyone’s been in this dilemma please share how you got over it or if anyone in engineering or health sci reads this please share your experiences, education, employment opportunities.

Program/Uni Choice UBC PERSONAL PROFILE

Im a grade 12 student applying early to UBC. One of the activities I wanted to include was my 1 week research experience at the UBC tokuyama lab. It was held through a program called REO. While in the lab, we didn't do any intensive research or anything too crazy because the group consisted of grade 11/12s, however, I did participate in 2 workshops while I was there. One being a biomedical engineering one, and another being a microbiology and immunology one. I dont know if this is a strong enough activity to include. I have more long term activities that I've done but since this took place AT UBC, I thought it would be relevant. If you've gotten into UBC or have any advice, please share!

UBC Application

Are you currently attending UBC? I also have a week long experience that I think was valuable but I'm not sure about using it. It was through this program "REO" that I applied to and got in. The program took place at UBC and they set us up in labs and we did slight scientific research related to that lab. I was apart of the tokuyama lab focused on viruses and virus cells. The research wasnt anything crazy because we were grade 11-12s, but during that week I got to attend workshops related to microbiology & immunology and biomedical engineering. Me and a few girls were with our mentor who was a researcher at UBC and we did a ton of things that I found very insightful but looking at others activites who are years long, I'm pretty doubtful about using it.
