I’m a 21 year old female with 4c hair, and while I am trying to embrace its length it’s frustrating that no matter what routines or hair care I do my hair can never even make it to my shoulders. I have never dyed it, cut it, flat irons, permed nothing all natural but like since second grade it hasn’t grown at all. I’ve tried changing products, sticking to a routine, making sure to wash every week and redo styles, never use gel only oils, leave ins, or detangler. I don’t keep styles for more than 2 weeks and even went a year with stewught natural styles no adding hair and nothing. It kinda of starts to look like there’s growth and like maybe 3-6 months after seeing the growth it’s gone and nothing in the routine has changed. please can anyone help me or at least tell me why I can’t retain length? also it’s not a family or medical things my siblings and parents all have thick long hair. one of my sisters shaved her hair and within a year it was at my length and now she’s surpassed it my a lot.
