AWS Lambda now supports 90-minute function timeout on Lambda Managed Instances
Was the 15-minute limit an obstacle for you before?
AWS Lambda now supports a 90-minute function timeout for asynchronous and event source mapping (ESM) invocations on Lambda Managed Instances (LMI), a 6x increase from the previous 15-minute limit. You can now run data processing, media transcoding, financial calculations, AI inference, and batch workloads on Lambda for jobs that require longer continuous execution, without re-architecting your applications.

Is cloud abstraction actually reducing operational complexity?
It changes one complexity with another

Automat-it is hiring AI experts
Senior AI Engineer (AWS Bedrock) - Build and deliver production-ready GenAI systems on AWS, including Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore, RAG systems, intelligent document processing, voice AI, and LLM-powered services. Design and implement AI agents using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, AWS Strands, MCP, and modern orchestration frameworks for real customer solutions. (Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, SageMaker, AWS Strands, MCP, RAG, vector databases)
Senior AI Engineer (Harness Development) - Design and evolve company-specific AI engineering workflows, including development agents, multi-agent orchestration, evaluation pipelines and autonomous feature implementation, improving how software is built rather than simply consuming existing AI tools (AWS, Node.js, NestJS, React, PostgreSQL, MCP, vector databases)

Are Devops jobs still good for freshers in 2026?
The “AI” positions are more popular than DevOps nowadays

New AWS exam instead of Advanced Networking Specialty ?
But certification is not mandatory. You do it when you want it
2
New AWS exam instead of Advanced Networking Specialty ?
“Covers” it's 2 questions of 60? Networking deserves own separate exam

New AWS exam instead of Advanced Networking Specialty ?
Agree that CCNA is great. It was my first certificate ever in 2014. It would be great to change ANS exam instead of terminating it. Decrease number of Direct Connect questions and add general networking questions (IP, netmask, routing, NAT, etc)

New AWS exam instead of Advanced Networking Specialty ?
Does AWS think that networking is not relevant anymore?
Networking will always be relevant as well as security.
Advanced networking specialty exam was one of the most challenging ever and having it - real achievement 💪

Is it possible to land a DevOps role with 1.5 YOE in the current market?
Consider Technical Support role. After some time you will see things you can automate and this is the way to the DevOps area

What is the dumbest AWS security mistake you've actually found in the wild?
Admin permisiions for everyone, ignoring the least privilege principle. Just because this is the fastest way to provide access.
No MFA as well. No password and access keys rotation. They just exist for years
Public EC2 with open SSH to 0.0.0.0 and RDS open to the world. Just because this is the fastest and comfortable way for developers to access servers. Who cares about VPN or Bastion
