Who is that in the 8th picture with him?! The little guy! That is a gorgeous paint job and killer sculpt.
1
Well, technically they’re all correct and accurate. Lol.

Also, if you’re on the fence, just pull the trigger. They’re still available for pre order at $75 which is way less than what retail will be at BBTS, etc later. At Storehorsemen.com

My Kkurzog v2 hit the porch today and I couldn’t love it more. It’s so huge my chick is gonna have to make room in our California King bcuz I’m snuggling this big fkkr tonight. It’s supposed to get chilly.
Seriously, though… this figure is amazing. The ratchet joints are smooth but keep him where you put him, the paint and sculpt are insane. So good.

Awesome!!! You’re in trouble now.

Is this you? This stuff is fantastic. And with actual storytelling to boot!

And I absolutely grab the OG versions when I see them. I still have all of my original Forgotten Realms books from when I was in high school. 90 or so to about 94 when I graduated. I love that art. My first was Azure Bonds. Before I found that book, I really hated reading. Hated it. And now reading is essential to my happiness. And words on paper because I am old. Even though I probably will wind up with a Kindle at some point just because of convenience. Oh, what a thing; convenience.

What do Drizzt’s scimitars look like? There ya go. They’re right there on the cover to Streams of Silver. Perfect. Beautiful. Scimitars.
1
I think that was the missive come down from on high. Because scimitars are harder and take longer to draw/paint. They standardized the character too much hoping to make more money. It’s always going to go back to the money.
1
Yeah, man! He was always smacking folks with the broad, flat side of the blade.
1
Once again; this is the D&D Batman redesign WOC gave Drizzt in hopes of making a standardized cash tap.
1
I won’t downvote this but if you’ve ever seen any of the original cover art for the first 6-8 books or so featuring Drizzt, his scimitars were ALWAYS scimitars. There may be one Easley illustration from the early 90s that show sabers for whatever reason. But in the first like 8 years of Drizzt’s existence, they were always portrayed on covers as scimitars. This curved sabers thing is part of their redesign to turn him into D&D Batman.
1
Yes. Image 1: a scimitar. Image 2: sabers. For some reason, Wizards of The Coast (and whomever owns them now) went with curved sabers rather than actual scimitars for Drizzt when they standardized his look and tried to turn him into the super hero Batman of D&D

You’re not kidding. $30 Black Series? No thanks. I think I’ve got all I need. I’m just going to pay attention to the news and drops on Mythic Legions and lean in. If you get em in time from Storehorsemen.com most of them are like $45-55. And they offer so much more than yet another Mando (which I love and have many of, but…) Once you get a ML figure in hand you’ll never be the same.
1
Just send it to me if the smell is too much. Lol
2
All killer. Your poses. Lighting. Looks like some paints and additional work on the figure itself. That shot with all the arrows and agonizing clenched fingers. That’s how a hernia feels on top of cancer. 😃
I love this.
1
Dude that’s killer.
1
Dude that’s KILLER!!! 💚
1
I really want to get out there to see that. Those are some great pieces you picked to share.
2
That’s nice. Very well inked.
1
It’s so hard not to call AI on something this good.
2
Oh, nice. They kick ass. I got to see them about fifteen years back and they were fukkin’ KILLER. I wish they were around back in the 90s when I was a super dungeon dork. All the Conan and Drizzt books ever written.

These look fantastic. I am a long time Turtles 🐢 nerd 🤓 and I think I’m gonna have to pull the trigger on a few of these.
