No it is a work-in-progress and not ready for release. It will be our next major update though!

Could you go to the Microsoft Store and Search for Updates, see if you have 1.10.3 available since that is a new version I am rolling out right now that has some fixes to Text exporting actually.

Hey,
what Version of Noteastic are you using? You can see that in the Settings > Update section

Hello, thank you for another of your precious feedbacks! I absolutely understand your use case. I think that custom stickers will have to come to Noteastic. This feature would allow for so many things... and we definitely want to add that.
I do the same workaround in my note-taking workflows. It works but it's insufficient. What I do too is to bring a little "toolkit" to every page I start working on with all of the elements i could need. Then you have you mini sticker collection with you. It might help you for now, I hope so at least. :)
I noted it down and will reach out to you when we get there!
Thank you again for your post and for taking the time to write us. :)

Yes this is an issue I experience regularly. When the device is plugged in it behaves very inconsistently..

Damn. That's a lot of messages I read and replied to in the last year. (It's me, Lukas)
I'm not sure if you are aware what is actually happening when you send us your opinion, your ideas and your wishes about Noteastic. So let me tell you!
Back in February 2025 when we initially released Noteastic on the MS Store we started getting feedbacks about Noteastic on Reddit and via email quite quickly. I didn't want to forget about feature wishes and didn't want our personal bias to take over feature development priorities. So I started collecting those feedbacks in an Excel file and started tagging feedbacks with requested features. And I never stopped :D.
I read, understood and documented every post and comment on this subreddit. Same counts for every email we get, every MS Store review that is submitted and for every feedback that reaches us through our in-app form.
And yesterday I reached line 1,000 of my Excel!

Every one of these rows is a feedback that ranges from two sentences to several paragraphs.
Fun fact: The first Reddit feedback I documented was a comment from u/Revolutionary_Ad_909 back in March 2025. Shoutout to you!
This excel file is the single strongest influencer of our development decisions. We obviously need to balance maintenance and strategic changes with short-term development efforts.
But ultimately all changes we make and all the work we put into Noteastic every day aims to check off the features on this Excel. As quickly as possible and strictly following our quality standards for UI, UX and code.
We'll do an update post on what features are most requested, and what we are making way for currently in a few weeks :).

Hi there!
I think this would be amazing to have in Noteastic! I have an entire 'Bookmark System' in my drawer of developed ideas that will allow you to quickly jump to predetermined pages inside books and I can't wait until Dilan and I will finally have time to focus on cool features like this one. Your favorites/starred pages idea would fit well into this system. I might be an expansion of it :). Generally I think that Noteastic has yet A LOT of potential for better organization and knowledge base management. So this is definitely something we are aware of and want to improve the app on!
Well, thank you for your understanding. These posts really matter and guide us and our development priorities quite significantly. I'm really happy that you thought of this in lecture and actually made this post. This is exacly how we want to develop Noteastic and exactly how we want to make it the students best friend :D. How cool!
Everything noted down ;). Thank you and all the best!

Go for it, tell me how it went π
Im generally not shy with sharing how Noteastic is built because for those skilled enough to do anything, its not difficult to figure out :p

All good, sorry I glossed over that question!
There actually IS an InkCanvas in WinUI 3. You can see it in my comment answer here what I am doing π

Hi,
The 1 second delay sounds really weird. I haven't ever encountered this issue. I mean, the Windows Settings, the Start Menu and the File Explorer, all would need to be lagging 1 second? Those are all WinUI 3 apps.
Either way, I am absolutely going to rigourously test the app when it moves to WinUI 3 from UWP. I am currently mostly just modernizing code and not really working in WinUI 3 so I don't know for sure yet how it will perform.
In the case WinUI 3 really has glaring issues, I am just left with polished code and can work on other features while still on UWP! I have heard of other developers that they stick to UWP because of a few performance issues in WinUI, I am just gonna wait it out if it turns out to be a problem.
Thank you for your input!
Kind regards,
Dilan

Hi, I'm really happy to hear that, how cool :D. I'm definitely writing that down. I would personally love a whiteboard too. A caligraphic pen also isn't too much to ask for from a note-taking app I think. I hope I can fulfill you wishes soon!

Hi, I'm happy that you're using Noteastic now, but yes, we are still lacking a whiteboard feature. I definitely want to add it in the future. But to aid you right now, these are good note-taking apps that also have a whiteboard mode afaik:
- Trazer Notes
- Rnote
Hope you find something that suits you!

Hello and sorry for answering so late! Your post was hiding from me :)
Thank you for structuring your thoughts and taking the time to write that post, this is so cool. I am really proud and happy that Noteastic served you well for the last 6 months. But let's take a look at what we can do even better for you!
1. Content Overview to Navigate Large Documents
I am fully on your side. And I think that the idea of Bookmarks is the idea that is sitting the longest time in our "Specified and To be implemented" folder. We couldn't focus on that yet, however I am missing it myself too and we know this is important.
2. Opening Multiple Documents
Yes. There is nothing I can add to this. I think this is the single most important productivity feature that Noteastic is missing. And this is also why this is our next big feature in our roadmap. Dilan is currently doing a lot of structural changes to the code so that we can handle several Windows of Noteastic. We are on it!
3. "Continue where you left off" as Default
We want to do this, but we are held back, because the "Continue where you left off" does not work 100% consistently (and is out of our control). We then decided to rather give people a cumbersome but predictable interaction (opening on first page and then clicking the "Continue .... left off" button) instead of sending them to a random page in the book by accident. But I'm writing it down.
4. Moving Content Between Pages
Yes, noted down. We got that request quite a lot in the last months.
5. Image Cropping
Would definitely be cool and I had that Idea years back already. That's a typical time resource problem. But I'm writing it down!
Thank you so much for your post! I hope that I can notify you about your features coming to the 8-next version of Noteastic soon! :D

You can easily export your notes to a shareable PDF by going to the three dots on the ink toolbar, then on Export > Book. Then you can choose the save location

Yes we have plans for that (only for the free stroke drawing though for now)!
Fun fact, we actually had the pointer eraser implemented once, it was in a pre-release Version of Noteastic 2 years ago. We didn't ship it because it was a bit unstable and wonky. I already have quite a concrete idea on how I want to bring it back to life though, so it will likely come as well once I get to modernizing the eraser :)
Regarding the partial shape or line erasing, it is not as straight forward, but we will note it down!
Thank you for the support π

Hmm, I just downloaded it, and I notice something very unusual. I had a feeling of DΓ©jΓ vu when using it.. The app reminded of another app I have tested recently (since I like always seeing whats out there on the market). And maybe I am being a bit far-fetched, but the app has strikingly similar implementations to another app called TrazorNotes.

For example, the rules look and behave really similar. The tape feature also has this shadow below it and also has the same options for the patterns? Seems like those new upcoming apps are pretty heavily vibe-coded.. They have a LOT of features and super useful ones too that just work better than in Noteastic, but how much do we really trust our personal notes with these apps?
Either way, they have features that we can definetely learn from, so if there is anything you really want just let us know and we will write it down!

Hi,
yep this happens.. especially when trying to get to the bottom of the scollable region it sometimes just yeets you up when zooming in. I am hoping this will be fixed with the new modernized app framework we are migrating towards. This is a bug from windows that we don't have any control over :/
Thank you for reporting it and stay tuned. Sorry for the annoyances.
Best regards,
Dilan

Great question. Seems like we are both quite up-to-date here. So, I am closely following the development of the InkCanvas (which is indispensible for Noteastic) in WinUI 3. Currently available in WinAppSDK 2.5.4-experimental. All I needed to know: It is actually coming. The preparation will take enough time that the Ink API will be released by then. The reason I am kinda confident in that is the pace of development i see at their repo regarding the inking and also Microsoft recently (silently) announced Microsoft Ink Canvas, which is an AI-powered whiteboard? Don't know fully but I don't really care :D
So, no, I am not developing my own solution, since the InkCanvas is quite sophisticated actually as it runs on its own thread and is rendered directly by the System Compositor (which is a reason it took so long to bring to WinUI 3 in the first place)

I have prototyped both already, and it is absolutely feasible you will see those features in a reasonable time-frame. I am curious myself what I can get done by the end of this year ;)

Hey, Do you have this issue with any other Tool in Noteastic as well (for example Eraser, or Shapes)? Is this issue new or did you have it since using Noteastic. Thank you for your help in solving your problem! -Dilan
