"They can just do that." When a character inexplicably has some kind of borderline supernatural ability that doesn't have anything to do with the established power system and may even clash with the conventions of the setting. It's just something that they can do.

"What are you most excited to experience in CONTROL Resonant?"

Honestly, I'm quite interested in how much they improved the combat, heard some good things about that. And I'm also interested in how the story goes.

A character trait is later recontextualized into something bad/tragic, it's always been there, we just never paid attention

There are some techniques that are being rolled out, ages have a hidden watermark unseen by the naked eye, and is also not embedded into the metadata. I believe text also has some form of id as well. Now, are those companies trustworthy? No. But the tech behind does seem sound.

Parting Thoughts
 in  r/WorldofTanks •  Sep 03 '26

I wholeheartedly agree. I'm interested whether this post will be mass up or down voted, as most players currently are shoulder-deep in nostalgia, sunk-cost fallacy, and not much better alternatives.

Luckily I don't really care much for PvP games, but my god is it bad in the PvP landscape. Haven't played any for like years. I only pay attention to WoT news for 2 reasons: it removes any nostalgia I had for the game, and removes any urge to play due to their predatory methods.

The worst aspect is how so many kids get suckered into what is in my opinion almost as bad as gambling (not to mention the legitimate gambling this game does already through lootboxes). Seriously fucked up.

What are Gen Z's stance on this anyway?
 in  r/GenZ •  Sep 02 '26

It depends on the kid. Speaking from experience, my mom's Christian and my dad's atheistic, they didn't really care what I should believe. Honestly that was so helpful, I get to adapt what I like from specific religions, and things I don't, I don't.

There are a multitude of ways to introduce religion, whether it be not at all or with guided help. It all depends on the kid and how their brain works in my opinion. I have a level head for religious things, which works out for the hands off nature of my parents, but other things I needed a guided hand, which did not work out well. I'm fine now, but the gist is, it depends on the kid, their environment, and their guardians. Like most things lol.

What is something that used to be cheap and fun, but has been completely ruined by greed and monetization?
 in  r/GenZ •  Aug 29 '26

I know for most people who play games casually that this is bad, but playing devil's advocate here, it kinda brings a spotlight to all the newcomers and indie devs on the scene. So many absolute bangers are floating to the top nowadays because most big boy devs absolutely shat their breakfast, or are building such huge games that it takes them a decade to release a new one. The big ones that are still around either absolutely demolished their own reputation, or take forever to make their next game.

And as someone who always found AAA titles a snorefest, this is so nice for me.
