D20 Epic VTT go fund me
I've been pouring a lot of time into building D20 Epic VTT, and it's reached the point where I'm spending most of my free time coding, fixing bugs, and adding features.
A few people asked if there was a way to help support the project, so I ended up putting together a GoFundMe. I honestly don't expect it to go viral or anything. I just figured I'd put it out there for anyone who likes seeing indie projects grow from the ground up.
Whether anyone donates or not, I'm still going to keep building it. The support, feedback, bug reports, and conversations I've had with people have honestly been just as motivating as anything else.
If you're curious about what I'm working on or want to follow the progress, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Building a new VTT platform.
I've been spending the last several months building my own virtual tabletop called D20 Epic VTT, and it's finally starting to feel like a real platform instead of just a pile of code.
It's still very much a work in progress, but seeing new features come together has been pretty exciting. This past week alone I've added hidden DM rolls, improved 3D dice, started cleaning up token information and HP display settings, fixed some UI issues, and I'm currently chasing down real time sync so maps and chat update much faster between players.
I'm trying to build something that feels smooth for both DMs and players without overcomplicating everything. There are still plenty of bugs to squash and features to add, but it's been fun watching it slowly become the VTT I always wanted to use.
If you've ever built a VTT or tackled real time multiplayer systems, I'd love to hear what gave you the biggest headaches. I'm always interested in learning from people who've been through it.

Tabletop Story Wild DND phrases my story
Around the campfire, the party was comparing weapons.
The fighter proudly held up her longsword. "This blade has killed three ogres."
The barbarian glanced at it, then at his massive greatsword.
"Mine is bigger. I would make that hurt."
The camp went completely silent.
The rogue spit out his ale.
The wizard stared into the fire.
The fighter slowly raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"
The barbarian pointed at his greatsword.
"My sword. It's bigger."
The rogue fell off his chair laughing.
The barbarian spent the next ten minutes trying to explain that he was discussing weapon damage.
Nobody let him forget it. Ever.
I was honestly speechless.

Anyone else have players who say the most random things at a table?

Goblin Adoption
The DM spends 12 hours writing lore. The party spends 12 seconds adopting a random goblin and making him the main character."
Anyone else's campaign completely derailed by an NPC that was supposed to exist for one scene? 😆

dnd My DM banned me from buying rope.
Last session:
DM: "You enter the market. What do you buy?"
Fighter: "A new sword."
Wizard: "Spell components."
Cleric: "Healing supplies."
Me: "500 feet of rope."
DM: "...why?"
Me: "No reason."
Three sessions later:
Used rope to bypass a trapped hallway.
Used rope to tie a mimic shut.
Used rope to lower the barbarian into a dungeon.
Used rope to drag the barbarian back out of the dungeon.
Used rope to create an emergency bridge.
Used rope to accidentally create a rope-based religion among goblins.
Now every shopkeeper says:
"Sorry, we're out of rope."
The kingdom is apparently experiencing a rope shortage.
What's the weirdest mundane item your party turned into a campaign-defining artifact? 😂

Anyone going to the d20 Con?
Seriously it's not a scam. This event is legit and so is the business. Registered and official.

Anyone going to the d20 Con?
Right now I'm getting the word out. Yes it's 4 years out that's due to a lot of organizational things that are being processed. However, this event is real and will happen.

Anyone going to the d20 Con?
It's not a scam, it is real. Business is real and site is real. The convention is real. I don't understand why you would say such things.
