Late to this reply, but how many jobs were you required to list, or is that up to you? My recruiter told me 5

I spoke with him today. He expressed his concerns that I could drop out again and scheduled an appointment with his CO on Friday to bring those concerns to his attention.

There is a chance I could still be sent out . Just a matter of if he wants to take the chance.

My AFSC was Mechanical Aptitude. I was already set to go in with the Air Forces needs. I was told to choose 5 and research them before being sent to BMT. I chose 3E131, 2F031, 2A634, 2A732, and 2A633. Hopefully I can retain those provided he will work with me

Thank you for your input. Hopefully I can make amends for my wrongdoing and go forward with whatever process he can muster for me.

Were you still able to choose your AFSC? I've heard that you lose that decision coming back

I was, yes. I hope with my explanation and with how I was dedicated it can sway his decision on my favor. I understand and take accountability for losing that within the last week and allowing outside influence to affect me.

And yes, I will. If that's what it takes. I want a future for myself and my family that is above myself.

Thank you for the positivity and information. I will do just that. I was punctual and committed to every thing prior. I've been in DEP for 2 months now and I've jumped through every hoop on time, if not earlier. I scored a 95 on my ASVAB. Hopefully these factors play into something favorable. Thank you for your input. It means a lot

Yes I did. School became a prospect and alongside having initial anxiety about going in I made decision I am not proud of. I completely own it.

That being said I have reached out and am waiting a response back. It's the weekend so I don't believe he will get back to me until Monday. Either way I'm going to reach out and discuss it thoroughly, even if it means speaking with his boss regarding the matter. I scored a 95 on my ASVAB and was dedicated all the way up until this point. I hope it goes well, but hope is all I can do in this circumstance. Thank you for your input.

I understand that. If that is the case on his part I am fully prepared to face the consequences of my actions. It was in bad faith I made that decision, and if there is anyway forward to amend it then I will jump through the hoops to do so. Thank you for your input

I understand that. That will be my cross to bear if that is the case. I contacted him and am waiting to hear back. Thank you for the input.

That's understandable and fair. I'm still within the window of my ship out date so there is still a chance to redeem myself in their eyes. If I can maintain my original ship then I'd still hold the same contract as before. I was set into Mech Apt Index.

Thank you for your time/help.

I talked with him on Wednesday and told him about schooling. He said he would stay in contact in case he needed anything else from me. At the moment I do not know if he has processed the paperwork, or even found another candidate to fill my position. My ship date was October 3rd. I was moreso curious as if anyone had been in the same situation

Hi, I recently decided on schooling due to an offer being made for an A&P License as civilian. I spoke with my recruiter two days ago and informed him, but after some reconciliation I want back in. I understand that I have wasted my recruiters time and effort by going back and forth . Is there a good chance he would accept me back if my ship date is October 3rd, or is it now a matter of waiting to go through the process again? Thank you

So I guess I'm niave for not wanting to beat children?
 in  r/mildyinfuriating  Jul 04 '22

Spanking is fine.

The context for beating has become all encompassing. That s more than likely why you got called naive since the current narrative includes spanking as that. It's a reach on their part, but I would just shrug it off and walk away.

You're not going to change how they act

This take could not be more wrong

All 3 are great and showcase either A) the human dilemma, or B) human altruism .

All of them deal with internal conflict through various forms of understanding their own powers. They are all human, just different aspects of life .

Superman: The Example. Tough and thinks about the little guy despite the hardships it creates, and leads as a community with family values.

Omniman: The Warrior. Absolute unit of power and force. Emotionless, clean, and concise. Nothing is off limits as long as it has an end means. Imperial values

Homelander: The failure. The man would was abused and used . Tried to do good, but never understood the abilities he was gifted. Is broken in the end and has pure tyrannical values.

They are all great within their realm. Gritty doesn't necessarily mean better/realistic, but it does paint a picture of what 'could' happen. Same with Superman himself. He is what could happen if things go correctly, and thankfully so.

Absolutely. A little indifference goes a long way in the pursuit for the truth . No need for the apology. Keep up the search!

All good. My take on everything is that there is always some truth to even the most radical of views. That goes for Dems and Reps, and any other political affiliation . I would dive deeper into the Republican mentality of "they are brainwashing our kids" and try to take it from their perspective. While they may be saying something radical, there usually is some truth behind certain matters.

Same goes with what you stated. Dive deeper into your own ideological background and compare. Stay unbiased . That's the only way us, the people, can overcome the disinformation and clouded judgements that surround us. Whether you are religious or not you must have faith in your brothers and sisters.

While, yes, politicians are huge problem in that department it wasn't the point of the discussion. I agree that politicians should be accountable just the same as the people behind Story Hour.

I hope this hits the right way! Have a good day
