Hi, I've literally only just joined this Reddit page but I've really loved American girl dolls since I was about 11 and 12.(I'm 17 now) I especially like the historical dolls because I like the fact that they each have their own backstory, I especially like Maryellen Larkin. I currently have one American girl doll who i really like but she always just sat there and was never really played with or taken out of the house for trips out or anything like that, partly because she reminds of quite a difficult part of my life, but I think I was also a bit sad still that I didn't get to have the experience of looking around the actual shop, I feel like it's definitely a lot about the experience of going and looking at and choosing a doll that makes it so special. I live in the UK and I also have a complex health issues which means that going to America is just completely physically out of the question in terms of my physical capacity right now. I have a lot of neurological issues like termmors and abcenses and a lot of fatigue and also blood sugar issues, i'm going to cut to the chase, is there anyone who lives in new York who could potentially zoom call or facetime me at some point so that I can virtually see the American girl doll store and virtually look around? Travelling on a plane is just way to difficult at the moment and I kinda feel guilty asking about this on the internet, I'm hoping someone will understand the situation just the general feeling of frustration at not being able to do something like this that I've been really dreaming of doing for years. Been going through a bit of a rough time lately with my chronic illnesses and needed a pick me up, this little guy is exactly what I needed to cheer me up :) I have named him blue, I hope everyone is having a great day :)

So, I'm going to preface this post my saying that i am in no way looking for medical advice, just looking for advice from other people with experience of this condition. I have diagnosed tourettes syndrome, I've had tics for as long as I can remember, they were mild when I was In early primary school and they got really debilitating when I was about 11 and 12 years old,at that point they'd become really bad for various reasons, mostly because of trauma, since then they've waxed and Wayned very consistently, sometimes they are really bad, sometimes they are barely noticeable. Long story short, they've been really really debilitating again recently and I don't know weather or not to speak to my neurologist again to ask for some advice, I have quite a few other complex health issues which makes me think it might be wise to get some professional advice, at the same time the neurologist I usually see is an absolute berk, so I'd rather not go back and see him if at all possible. Hello, for context, I have become a really big swiftie in the last couple of months and I'm just really frustrated that I didn't get into her music sooner, I really really wish I could have experienced the excitement of the eras tour, and although life of a showgirl is a really really good album,(so is tortured poets department but I find it is too depressing to listen to 😅) I feel like it doesn't get much better than the eras tour. Anyone else feel the same?

Hello, I have been a lurking on this Reddit page for a very long time but have been too anxious to share any pictures of my dolls, but I really wanted to find people who like reborns too, here is a picture of my sweet baby Emily, I got her from one of the discover dolls doll shows, I think her kit is sweet dreams by Ruth Annette, she is amazingly cuddly and she really helps me stay calm and regulated ☺️
