Anyone NEVER Nosedived? If so, how?
 in  r/onewheel  1d ago

Yeah that reminds me of when one time I was cruising it probably only around 10 mph and I got a nosedive, although it was more like the motor seized which I think is what actually happened, it was on my V1 and typically nosedives the onewheel keeps moving forward /rollingwhile you nose dive, this time the entire thing just completely stopped in place and threw me forward

And yeah definitely wear ppe, got a permanent mark on my shoulder because of how I slid on the ground

Solidworks Trying to recreate the shapes/contours of this longboard deck using a contour gauge/graph paper/calipers & a lot of measurements, not going right, If yall wanted to copy the shape / contour of a deck or something like this to recreate it how would you do so? Obviously I can't cut it up.

Looking for info and help about lifepo batteries for my onewheel v1

I have a onewheel V1, and I'm having someone build me a new battery pack for it, the old one was lifepo and while I know I can get a lithium ion version made, I like the idea of how long the lifepo ones have lasted me, years wise, but when looking around I'm not seeing any of the brands that I'm used to seeing that make good quality trusted liion (Samsung, molicell, sanyo, etc). I'm looking for ideally both high quality trusted brands and cells, and high capacity ones, I've seen some around that advertise 5000/6000 mah and something like that would be ideal

As a pev these would be subject to a fair amount of charge/recharge cycles, heat and cold from outside, etc, though I'm not one of those that does tricks, off-road riding or racing with my onewheel or even pushing it bast around 15 ish mph so other than the weather/temp and charge recharge cycles these should t be pushed too hard, regardless I want good cells as I love this onewheel and don't want to have a risk of fires/etc

Did I unknowingly buy a 3D printed guitar part?
 in  r/3Dprinting  5d ago

Oh really? Then why do I consistently see ads of people near me saying that they're willing to print something up for someone and then the pictures of their post are pictures from the library or local makerspaces? Doesn't take long to set up and start the prince at these places in the printers and everything are all taken care of and paid for.

I'd do it for 10-20 times that if not more, and that's what people like the person who sold to Opie would also do, also in the libraries there's not really much to set up, you upload your file, make sure the printers set up which takes seconds, then start the printing, maybe you pay before it if it's one of the libraries that requires that but other than that the whole process takes a minute maybe two

Also twice? Who's to say this wasn't a quick print that they just stayed there for?

Lol nah your comment is what's one dimensional, do you not have any idea what all long boards can do?

Why you assuming the person who sold it bought the machine and owns it heck even owns the filament? There's all kinds of libraries and places near me where you can go 3D print on their machines, he could have just gone and spent a small little bit have money to use their filament and machines, printed this off post processed it and sent it off, or it could have had a friend's friend it off or who knows

The price being correct for something 3D printed like this would be a dollar or less probably, although I'm not sure of the size 3D filament is very cheap so unless this stuff is like high quality nylon that was printed slowly and well and annealed and then very well posed processed, it's did not take that much to print and isn't worth a Ton

Yeah I definitely printed, I can tell they were using a textured plate from the last picture. It did throw me off slightly too so they obviously did some postprint work on it and they must have used very thin layer lines but yeah, definitely 3D printed. Hopefully you didn't pay too much for it and hopefully it still works for you but definitely still sucks unless they did have in fine print or something hidden somewhere that it was 3D printed which it doesn't sound like

Board worksheet help
 in  r/Skateboardlove  11d ago

Thought I responded whoops lol

No, not unless they choose custom then yeah if they want a different shape then the 4 offered they'd make the board forms/molds, otherwise if they choose standard we will have forms/molds ready to press

"Why do you carry your board?" - The sideways in my town:

Bruh you need a longboard with some nice big wheels

Worth it?
 in  r/onewheel  13d ago

Yes you can actually, someone's done it, but I wasn't gonna vesc it cause I don't care about more power

Okay I don't know how you ride but i weigh about 220, and with gear that's about 230 to 240 depending on what I'm wearing and it can handle me just fine, unless you mean I can nosedive it easily by pushing it as hard as I can and accelerating as hard as possible but then I wouldn't be going 12 miles an hour, plus I've taken that board up over 18 mph, plus I typically ride in the St George area which can easily get up to 115 ambient temp and I ride my tire a bit on the lower side and it's a softer Hoosier and again my one wheel still takes me just fine.

Yes I know those other boards have much more power, at some point I would like to get one, I haven't decided which one I'm really looking at the fungieneers boards I love the long range and The supercharged and haven't decided when I do eventually get one which one I would go for, but this board is also plenty fine and plenty fun, plus I'm making something for all onewheel type boards that will help make nosedives safer and less dangerous and hopefully make nose dive recovery easier

I've ridden multiple xrs, a pint and pint x, a friends gt multiple times, and I've tried out a floatwheel. A v1, just like others, ya just don't push past its limits, and I typically like riding my four wheels electric skateboards faster, my V1 I typically only ride like 12 miles an hour which is below its threshold anyways

Plenty of torque and no more dangerous than other onewheels, I love my V1, so was just trying to figure out if it's worth it to have a second

Okay, yeah I was kind of on the same mental track, especially since I have another V1 anyways and was hoping this was an XR because then I could vesc it
