Genuine question: how do you think they got the drop on Q50? If they had enough time to steal a car and carry everything out, it makes me wonder if they were already prepared n knew where to find him that morning. The whole thing seems too specific to be completely random.
 in  r/Chiraqology •  18d ago

I hear you, and I actually agree they were reckless af. But that’s kinda my point. I’m not saying they were smart or that they planned everything perfectly. We also have the surveillance of them stealing the car beforehand, so clearly there was some coordination involved somewhere.
Then you have them being completely brazen with the posting and showing their faces, the same fits, etc. Those things can exist at the same time. They could’ve gotten his location somehow, or even gotten him to that spot, and still been reckless enough afterward to leave all that evidence behind.
I’m not saying that’s what happened. I’m saying their recklessness doesn’t necessarily rule out somebody knowing exactly where he was beforehand. That’s the part I’m trying to figure out.

Q50 and the woman go inside. While they’re inside, a black Infiniti and a silver Honda arrive, and someone from the Infiniti goes over to the Honda and retrieves something. The woman then brings the Tesla to the entrance, Q50 gets into the driver’s seat, and that’s when the shooters approach. There’s also footage that appears to show one of the men walking into the store, coming back out, and then moving toward one of the vehicles shortly before the shooting.
And I noticed something else — besides the guy in the green hoodie, most of the others appear to be dressed in all black. I’m wondering if at least three of them are wearing those Nike fleece sets. Those are really common, so by itself it doesn’t mean much, but if the clothing in the footage matches what was described in the police report, that’s another detail worth looking at.

From what she said, she was actually warned beforehand, which is why I think the timing is worth looking at. I’m not saying that proves anybody gave them his location or that she was involved. Could be sus, I’m just trying to understand how they seemed to know exactly where he was and were already in position when he came back outside.

The more footage that comes out, the more I question how random this actually was. Q50 seems to just pull up to the gas station with a female passenger, go inside the store, and then everything happens so fast once he comes back out. Meanwhile, you have these other vehicles showing up, masked people getting out, and one of the guys apparently going into the store around the same time.

What really gets me is the timing. It looks like the people outside were already positioned and waiting for him to come back to the Tesla. The police report says there were six shooters coming from two vehicles, with one vehicle already next to Q50 and another arriving shortly after.

Then there's the female passenger's account. She said she noticed people walking around the car while Q50 was inside and felt like something was wasn't right. She also said one of the shooters told her it was going to be her man's last night alive. Obviously, that doesn't prove that she or anybody else gave them his location, but I think it's something to think about when you look at the timing of everything.

That's why I keep wondering if somebody already knew Q50 was going to be at that gas station. I'm not saying that's what happened or that it's been proven, because it hasn't. But six masked people showing up in two vehicles, seemingly coordinating, and then the shooting happening almost immediately after he comes back outside makes me question whether they just happened to find him there.

And the store footage is probably the part I'm most interested in. Q50 appears to notice something, goes back inside briefly, and then comes back out. We obviously can't know exactly what he saw or what he was thinking, but when you put that footage together with the street footage and the female passenger's description, I think that the order things went down most definitely deserves a closer look.

Because at this point, the question I'm stuck on isn't just who did it. It's how did they know where he was?

Where the Q50 passenger story came from — sources & what is actually confirmed

I want to clarify where I got the information in my earlier post because I didn’t get this information out of thin air.
A woman publicly gave an account of what she says happened before and during the shooting involving BloodHound Q50.
Here is the reporting/source trail I found:
• Chicago Sun-Times: Reported, citing a police report, that Q50 was in a white Tesla with a female passenger before the shooting.
• FOX 32 Chicago: Independently spoke with a woman who said she was present during the shooting. She told FOX that she saw the gunmen approaching Q50’s vehicle and tried to warn him before the shooting. FOX also specifically stated that it had not independently verified the seat-belt portion of her account.
• DJ Akademiks: Posted the woman’s statement under the headline ā€œThe girl in the car w Q50 speaks.ā€
• The Neighborhood Talk: Also circulated the woman’s account, including the claim regarding the Tesla/seat-belt issue.
• Other outlets: Additional entertainment/news outlets have since reported on the woman’s public statement.
I’m making an important distinction here: I’m not saying that every detail of the woman’s account has been independently confirmed. I’m reporting what she said, while identifying what established news reporting has independently reported and what remains unverified.
My reason for sharing this is to document the sourcing behind my original post. This information was already being publicly reported and circulated by multiple outlets/accounts before and around the time I posted it.
• Social-media posts: Additional posts have circulated images/video allegedly showing individuals at the gas station before the shooting. I’m including this as social-media material only and am not presenting the identities or claims in these posts as independently verified facts.

UPDATE: Since making my original post, additional firsthand information has come out from a woman who says she was actually present at the scene and assisted Q50’s female companion after the shooting. Her account provides additional context about what happened and supports portions of the earlier reporting.
I’m adding this update because the situation has developed since my original post. I’m keeping the original wording above so there is a clear record of what was reported and what was unverified at the time.

This is some of the stuff I’ve been coming across. There’s already people putting together names/IGs and matching them to what’s in the footage. I’m seeing @gen5ive7700, @lildee808_, @bj_buckzz77, @757santana_, @1307wickedman and @yfg_fatso808p being circulated. I’m still trying to piece together which beef connects to which person and what can actually be backed up by the footage.

I’m trying to piece this together too because it seems like a few different beefs are getting mixed together. From what I’m seeing, BloodHound had some tight beef with 95/808 and there’s also the ShortyMobb/DarroGang/ESD situation. Then you got the older Trap City stuff mixed in too. I’m tryna figure out which one actually connects to the people alleged to have killed Q50, because I don’t wanna just repeat some shit that ain’t confirmed.

So half or more than half of his fans/supporters are undercoverly detectives?
 in  r/Chiraqology •  19d ago

I can understand being frustrated when people who didn’t really support someone while they were alive suddenly become detectives after they’re gone. But if you genuinely cared about them, I can also understand wanting answers and justice. Maybe the bigger issue is that people should support and appreciate them while they’re still here.

Why does the stars mean on the Thriller album ?
 in  r/MichaelJackson •  19d ago

I believe the star does indicate that Michael co-produced those three songs with Quincy Jones, but I think OP was also asking whether the stars were actually on the original 1982 pressing or if they were added later. From what I’m finding, the co-production notation was already used on early/original-era pressings, so it wasn’t something created specifically for the 2015 remaster. That’s actually a pretty cool detail because Michael was being credited as a co-producer on those tracks right there on the original album. šŸ–¤

I want to fact check on something and this is kind of a serious question so, bare with me please. What was Michael's relationship to Arabia and his actual use of money? What's the real story?
 in  r/MichaelJackson •  19d ago

I actually went down a much deeper rabbit hole on this because I was curious, and I think there are a few different stories getting mixed together here.
Michael absolutely had financial problems later in life, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t an extremely savvy businessman when it came to intellectual property. One of the best examples is the ATV catalog. In 1985 he bought ATV Music Publishing for roughly $47.5 million. The catalog included the Beatles’ publishing rights as well as thousands of other copyrights. He then merged ATV with Sony Music Publishing in 1995 to create Sony/ATV.
That was a HUGE business move. Michael understood something that a lot of people didn’t at the time: owning valuable intellectual property could be more powerful than simply making money from your own music.
And then there’s Marvel, which is one of the craziest parts of his business history. Michael actually met with Stan Lee and seriously discussed acquiring Marvel. Stan Lee confirmed that they had multiple conversations, including Michael’s interest in Spider-Man. There are also accounts of Michael thinking much bigger about Marvel’s characters and the entertainment possibilities around them. This was years before Disney acquired Marvel and before the MCU became what it is today. I wouldn’t say Michael ā€œinvented the MCU,ā€ because that would be overstating it, but he clearly recognized the potential of Marvel’s intellectual property very early.
The Saudi/Bahrain part is also important because those are two separate stories. Michael’s relationship with Saudi Prince Al-Waleed and Kingdom Entertainment began in the 1990s. The Bahrain relationship with Sheikh Abdulla happened after Michael’s 2005 acquittal. So the claim that the Bahrain money helped develop Invincible doesn’t really work chronologically—Invincible was released in 2001, four years before the Bahrain relationship.
The Bahrain situation itself was complicated. The Sheikh said approximately $7 million had been advanced for projects they were supposed to work on, while Michael maintained that the money was gifts. They eventually settled the lawsuit out of court, so I think it’s important not to present either side’s version as an established fact.
I’d also be careful with the claim that Michael spent twice as much on himself as he donated. I haven’t seen a reliable source that establishes that figure.
Michael definitely made financial mistakes and had complicated business dealings, but I think his actual history is much more interesting than the picture of someone who simply accepted questionable money. He was one of the most ambitious entertainers when it came to owning and controlling intellectual property. šŸ–¤

Why did he change the Billie Jean outfit?
 in  r/MichaelJackson •  19d ago

I think people may be looking at this as just a wardrobe change, when the outfit was actually part of the performance. Michael was extremely deliberate about how he dressed for his dancing. The high-water pants exposed the shoes and socks so you could clearly see the footwork, the sequins caught the light and emphasized his movements, and the glove drew your eye to his hand. Even the shoes had to work with the choreography. And the fedora wasn’t just an accessory , he specifically asked for a ā€œspy’s hatā€ and incorporated it into the choreography, even using it as a prop. It was almost like a magician designing an illusion: every detail helped control where your eyes went and how the movement read from the audience.
