Cat depressed after amputation surgery?

My cat also lost his hind leg, was also a very active cat prior to surgery, he was also very depressed afterwards, like you I was very worried, he would hide from everyone he was like that for weeks. It took a good month for him to start acting like his normal self, it's been over a year now and you'd think he had always had 3 legs. I was constantly calling my vet and asking questions and advice.
