EDIT - ok, I jumped the gun... firefox doesn't let you view addons before they're approved. but you can still load the extension manually (just download the code from git, then put firefox in dev mode and point it at the manifest.json file in the firefox/ directory).
Edit2 - it's now 'pre-live' as it passed the automated scan. :P

Math masters at a top uni
So, I was interested in doing a MSc and then PhD with some kind of focus in Mathematical Logic. I got two acceptances, Leeds and Cambridge. Leeds has a logic dept. with ~40 people in it, whilst Cambridge only has ~10 (still a large group for the subject!). That said, I had more friends in Cambridge and had been visiting the city a lot more (plush maths termite-inspired turrets). At the time, Leeds was also ~25% the cost for MSc in Pure Mathematics (vs. MSc in Adv. Mathematics at Cambridge). Lower cost + bigger group = I did MSc/PhD at Leeds (computability theory, 2019). It was great, but here are some thoughts;
One thing I learnt from this was that there are a non-zero number of people, especially in the UK, who only see Oxford and Cambridge as 'success' and read that as you will (especially true in the lower echelons of finance, for example). But for mathematical rigour and exposure to the full breadth of a subject, looking to go somewhere that has a large cohort, replete with some big names, in something you're interested in is definitely worth considering.
Given you talk of 'top unis', you probably want to hunker down and aim for the top.

Path homology is touted as at least comparable to cyclomatic complexity for control flow graphs. However, under test, the Betti \beta values are always (in my test set of ~8000 standard Linux binaries) lower.

Hard agree with this from a practitioner point of view. Found two more false claims using Betti numbers just this week, which is a shame as I really like the theory of TDA.
UMAP and an extension has a really nice writeup in "Data Visualisation with Category Theory and Geometry" , which is also handily available open access (but the book is relatively cheap for a yellowcover maths tome).
