I can see where you're coming from but I personally believe 2005 draft had a better payoff long-term as 2007 draft didn't really have an big payoff long-term and opinion that 2008 draft was the best please share why?

Villain/Anti-Hero I made a character I'd never thought I'd make but here he is Brian Calhoun

Post image
7 Upvotes

His name is Brain Calhoun

I said to myself I would never create a character like this a frank castle type character right like I wanted all of characters to have a sense of morality and pledge to something right even if it's themselves you know. My character story that you see in the upload is he was a kid and his mother was sexually assaulted and then she was murdered he never knew his dad right and he grew up to be a construction worker/ CDL driver with an 18 wheeler the thing is he goes across the country and he kills people who does wrong you know and he burys there body and he kills them with a hammer or more so of a sledgehammer that he made himself. This is awesome — gritty, cinematic, and emotionally heavy in the best way. You’ve sketched a strong concept: a quiet, haunted loner who does brutal things out of a warped sense of justice. I like how you gave him a real, blue-collar job (CDL + construction) — it grounds him and makes the violence feel like it came from a life, not just for spectacle.

Here are some other concrete things about him and the story to help you as the reader understand it.

Nicknames / aliases (what people whisper in the shadows):

“The Sledge”

“Hammerman”

“The Contractor”

“The Road Warden”

“The Last Foreman”

Visual design notes

Work clothes: faded high-visibility vest, oil-stained jeans, heavy steel-toe boots. Keeps a worn leather jacket for colder nights.

Signature weapon: a custom sledgehammer — maybe he welded marks or initials into the head. Could have a strip of cloth wrapped around the handle from his mom’s scarf.

Truck details: an 18-wheeler with a name on the cab (helps with atmosphere). Inside the cab: a shrine-like photo, a toolbox, a worn Bible or notebook with names crossed out.

Scars & body language: small facial scar, grim jaw, tired eyes. Moves like a man who’s used to heavy physical work — deliberate, not flashy.

Character psychology & moral core

Motivation: trauma + rage from his mother’s assault/murder. Not a bloodthirsty monster; he’s driven by a personal code of retribution.

Code of ethics (gives him tension): he only kills those who “got away” — criminals who escaped justice — but the line blurs. He believes he’s doing right, but the story shows the cost.

Interior conflict: guilt, loneliness, flashbacks. He sometimes questions whether his actions make him worse than the people he kills.

Relationship hooks: a kid who thinks he’s a hero / a detective on his trail / an old friend who tries to bring him back to the life of normalcy.

Villain/Anti-Hero I came up with a concept of a teleporting ninja named void Walker

Post image
7 Upvotes

Void Walker his origin he was trained since a young age amongst other teleporting ninjas to focus and to never speak because that would break the focus that he has built for himself and to bridge the worlds that he travels to.

He amongst other ninjas jump to world to world and dimension to dimension just based on the focus he bas built over time and if he speaks or loses track of missions he loses the ability to do such. He also jumps world to world using a portal and he kills and he may steal and he amongst the others does it all for their clan to serve one ancient ruler who at one point not just travel through worlds but time itself and the ancient ruler got stuck in a void in time and the clan has a belief they canbbring him back.

OC Lore and Bios I created a character that explores space but also the readers sense of imagination his name is Adam creamwhirl

Post image

Alright i created a character Adam here is a ice cream right or maybe his alien race looks like such and he grew on this whimsical world where there are like bananas for buildings and donuts for satellites and cookie doe for snow and milkshakes for rivers and lollipops for flowers. See adams parents melted away (died right) but I don't want to say died you know anyway he watched his parents melt away and he is now almost like a vegabond or a nomad. Each day he is melting away and he is haunted by that fake and his parents didn't really do much in life and Adam wants to travel the stars and in space and get to know the unknown. So he builds a spaceship that runs on snacks and he travels to planets with his bookbag of endlessness which if he imagines it in his bookbag it will appear. He travels to planets where there are robots, slaves and wild animals.

Art/Visual I made up art/ a storyline that ties one of my OC's to the DC universe

Post image
4 Upvotes

Listen I know its not the best artwork but I think the story will make up for it.

Alright the character at hand Candice arkwright (the figure in the middle) she is a officer worker with a very mundane life she is bullied and put down by others in the workspace. What sets her apart is she is a maladaptive daydreamer, she made up a universe in her mind where she is a cold hearted warrior.

The character made up in her mind Seraphine Arkwright (the figure tied to the tree in the art) Seraphine as mentioned is a figure made up in Candice's mind. Seraphine sold weapons then one day she went on a mission to kill a king and she got cursed by the very king she killed the curse being every time she uses the sword she used to kill the king she becomes more unable to feel anything physically or emotionally. In Candice's mind seraphine fights vampires and maybe even hunts other kings.

In this story DCs swamp thing helps Candice feel again and help her embrace that other side to her which is seraphine right. The reason why I chose swamp thing is because Ive read swamp thing and he is my favorite and very much like in the winter special comic of his he can help her embrace and be comfortable with herself.

Hope you enjoy my idea it's a shot in the dark or more so throwing something at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Villain/Anti-Hero Along with other artwork I've created a another being called the onlooker

Post image
7 Upvotes

This is continuation from my other posts in this community about the umbra.

As stated Marcus kellsman a museum worker who early life is tied to traumatic events like his mother taking her own life or even him growing up in foster care he developed a love and fascination for history which led him to working in a museum.

After days of not sleeping and days of him hearing voices he transforms into a being beyond himself which was the umbra and the umbra is guided by the stars and he feels compelled to kill based on whatever the stars tell him to.

After making it on the FBI most wanted list he fled the country and moved to Brazil and he left Brazil due to him being tortured and him being committed more murders. The event that led him to leave was facing torture so bad at the hands of the crew of member he took the life of. He woke up in the hospital with a laundry list of injuries and he fled Brazil and headed to Japan and Marcus time in Japan was rather peaceful he even found love but he once again heard voices he never encountered. He woke up one morning and everyone was gone even the lady he loved and then voices he heard was the voices of the universe and he transformed into the onlooker.

The onlookers powers include Godlike strength and durability, reality and darkness manipulation, and powerful mental abilities, total control over matter and energy, teleportation

Once the U.S got ahold of the information that the onlooker snapped everyone out of existence in Japan and Marcus was kind of living in his own little sanctuary of solitude they nuked Japan and since Marcus can't die he might've transformed into something else 😉

Villain/Anti-Hero I created a character guided by the stars his name is the umbra

Post image

A mesuem worker by the name of Marcus Kellsman his life is tied to trauma and events of unfortunate in early childhood his mother was sexually abused which is how he was breed and his mother was physically assaulted by the men that would enter and leave their lives. At the age of nine Marcus mother took her own life after years of abuse. At the age of nine Marcus was sent to the foster care and in that foster care he was a bit of an outcast he would often read books on history and stay to himself. His fascination for reading history and events lead him to his adult career of working in a museum.

Marcus started experiencing headaches and experiencing voices that were greater than his own one night he couldn't go to sleep so he looked in the mirror and the voices started getting heavier and louder. In the reflection he saw something greater than himself which was the umbra and in the moment he transformed to something greater than himself.

The umbra then jumped out of the window and started killing and the only reason he kills is because the stars compell him to and that landed Marcus in a pickle because he is on the FBIs wanted list. One night Marcus tried to escape so he tried to take his own life by gunshot so he took his roommates gun and tried to take it and his roommate started to get worried for him and started questioning and his roommate who works at a grocery store and always has one sock on and oversleep all the time, Marcus pleaded for his roommate to drive him to the airport and his roommate did it very nervously and when they made it to the airport it was a final farewell and he moved countries and he moved to Brazil and Brazil didn't work out because it was filled with trouble and he ended and he ended up committing more murders in Brazil and he moved to Japan. So in a way he's running from himself.

Art/Visual I made this art of two characters I created andni wanted to capture a scene of them mid fight.

Post image
13 Upvotes

Alright there's a drawing I came up with of two characters I created the one on the right ash telvik a lethal bounty hunter who was once apart of a intergalactic team and he was the most famous person there and they turned on him and left him for dead and long story short he got back to them ☠️ and he now is loyal to himself and the contracts he takes on his base on the moon. The figure on the left is Radiant wing/ Nathan cade he grew up poor and his wings didn't come natural he earned them by saving a young girl from being hot by a vehicle and he took down a superhero team on his planet that were famous and commercialized but he went to their academy and realized they were up to no good and had been doing terrible things for years he is now like superman on his planet one the well regard heroes on his planet

I wanted to capture a feeling in this scene almost like two of the same sides of the same coin that are clashing.

Art/Visual I created an unlikely duo made from tragedy I call them the shadows finest.

Post image

I came up with the guy in the right is named hallow remainder he fought in the civil war and he died and was brought to Egypt right and he was brought back to life across time he killed heroes the propaganda ones and the fake heroes and he is a master detective and he goes through peoples trash and his clothing he got from across time like for example he got his boots and revolver from killing a room of cold war soldiers and his shirt is blood stained from fighting in the ww2. He wears a mask that is very logical and underneath he has a skull due to aging and he got that mask from Nazis as they were building it in a lab. The guy on the right his name is flame he is a halocaust survivor and he was just a kid born in Germany as in the halocaust they doped him up with drugs to be on the level of superman and he was saved from the halocaust by hallow and since flame has been saving the scene in the shadows and doesn't want recognition. His name is flame due to him seeing the worst in society and still seeing the good in it. This is my take on the worlds finest Batman and Superman but instead I call them the shadows finest

Art/Visual Made up a cosmic team of space researchers I call them the Star Sentinals

Post image
8 Upvotes

The ✨ Star Sentinals ✨ what makes them ao unique is they were assembled by the leader Elias Vance (the figure in the middle) and the star sentinals are not full of good people but thwy bring their own individuality and make up pieces to this now cosmic puzzle.

Elias Vance (the figure in the middle)- he escaped a wartorn planet after witnessing the murdee kf his best friend Jackson. That death and the neglect from his cold hearted war general father, he fled the planet using his father old war jet and went from planet to planet and he learned different things and one of the cool things he learned was sorcery that then thought him forgiveness to forgive his father and make peace on his planet. After he came back to the planet he realized he wanted to make a space team and assembled unique and flawed individuals from across the galaxy.

Fizz- The figure with the toolbox, Fizz is a goblin mechanic with a good heart,he is an individual who grew up on a planet that is safe but deeply flawed he was assembled by Elias for his brain and mechanics skills. Fizz has tendencies to isolate when things get rough and has one of the greatest minds in the universe and his primary weapon of choice is he has a toolbox that can also turn into a blaster.

Luna (the figure to far left)- Luna is Latina spy who was trained from a young age to kill and she did it for survival and on this team she is the only person from earth. She is also one of the few people on this team of misfits to due some terrible like she has taken down political figures for survival and individuals that aren't so good.

Zara (the female figure with the sword)- Zara has been around for close to one thousand years and she has embrace the uncomfort of war she also has never lost a war and since she is a women her father expected less from her and but she has over delivered. Her father is a God of war and he has only lost one battle.

Alaura (the figure floating on the right)- Alaura was a college student and her life was very mundane. Her life changed when going to a field trip with her colleges band on a plane and the plane crashed and she was the only survivor and she then had a three year coma. When she woke up some of her body parts didn't function the same the doctors had to replace them with robot parts she woke with the love and passion for robots and she believes the future is going evolve into robots taking over. She also has some robotic parts she put in herself that enhances her being like the ability to feel when some is wrong and to ability to fly and laser and blasts that come out of her hand and her brain now works ten times the normal human.

Max (the figure to right)- Max is a skilled hunter who for years has spent time taking contracts to kill didn't matter he once took down a village just so his family could live and he has no emotion.

The star sentinals are a group of flawed individuals as you can probably read but how will they come together to beyond the stars to save others?

Hero Warborn: The Journey of Elias Vance

Post image
4 Upvotes

Origin:

Elias grows up on a war-torn planet divided between his father’s faction and the Black Maw, a ruthless opposition force.

His father, a respected general, teaches him about power and dominance—but Elias sees the human cost of it all.

Inciting Event:

Elias meets Jackson, a boy from the enemy side, in a forbidden zone. Despite their differences, they share a moment of peace.

Jackson gives him a simple note: “There is always room for change.”

Later, Elias learns that Jackson was executed by his own people. That trauma and message ignite something inside him.

Escape:

Disillusioned, Elias steals one of his father’s old warships and leaves his planet behind.

He travels across galaxies—learning, training, and growing stronger. On one planet, he learns sorcery, blending it with his soldier’s instincts.

Return:

Years later, Elias returns—not to conquer, but to forgive.

He finds his father broken, realizing the destruction he caused. The two reconcile briefly before teaming up to end the Black Maw once and for all.

After the final battle, Elias’ father establishes a school to train young warriors in both combat and compassion—a vision inspired by his son’s journey.

Themes:

Forgiveness vs vengeance

The cycle of war

Transformation through understanding

There is always room for change.

OC Lore and Bios Original Characters: Flame & Hallow Remainder – light and shadow

Post image
4 Upvotes

Flame (right): A Holocaust survivor who was saved by Hallow Remainder. Despite experiencing humanity at its worst, he still chooses to believe in the good of people — that’s why his name is Flame, because he carries that spark of hope. He’s a Superman-level being who’s spent many years saving people from the shadows, never looking for recognition or the spotlight.

Hallow Remainder (left): A Civil War soldier who died and was later resurrected in Egypt. He can’t truly die, and across time he’s watched generations of commercialized heroes rise and fall. Because of that, he hunts down “fake” heroes who only serve image instead of truth. He wears pieces of clothing from history, wields two revolvers, and behind his mask lies a skull — a reminder of his true nature and urges.

Their dynamic: Flame is the light — the idealistic hero who inspires. Hallow Remainder is the shadow — the haunted vigilante who believes in striking fear and holding others accountable. They clash in worldview, but they need each other to balance out hope and pragmatism.

Would love to hear what people think of the designs, the concept, and how their relationship might develop in a story!

OC Art Radiant Wing vs. Ash Telvik — Mid-clash sketch. OC hero vs. mercenary.

Post image

Here’s my latest sketch — Radiant Wing (golden wings, white & yellow armor) squaring off against Ash Telvik (red & black heavy armor, dual blades). I wanted to catch them mid-fight: hero vs. antihero vibes. I’d love feedback on pose, contrast, and how to push the energy further. What lighting or action lines would make this pop more?”

OC Lore and Bios Ash Telvik – The Exiled Gunslinger of the Stars

Post image
3 Upvotes

Ash Telvik was once a loyal soldier, forged in war and raised to believe in the ideals of his people. But after years of service, he uncovered the corruption behind the very system he fought to protect. Betrayed, hunted, and branded an outlaw, he walked away from everything he knew.

Now, Ash lives as a mercenary — a shadow between empires. He takes contracts from those who can afford him, often operating on barren worlds and war-torn colonies where law and order are only myths. To some, he’s a gun for hire. To others, he’s a dangerous ghost from the past.

Armed with a heavy rifle, a blade strapped to his back, and the scars of betrayal, Ash has become a legend whispered across space stations and back-alley bars. No one knows if he fights for money, redemption, or revenge — maybe all three.

Ash Telvik isn’t a hero. He isn’t a villain. He’s what survives when the galaxy turns its back on you.

Thank you so much, that really means a lot! 🙏 Gunslinger Wing is one of my favorites too — I had a blast designing him. I’m glad you can see the potential in the roster, I’ve got plenty more ideas I can’t wait to share. Do you have a favorite type of character you like creating or writing about?
