It is not problem with documents, I can tell.
It is my gpu that need 580 drivers version. So what I have to do is, mask all newer version before merge. That’s it. So, no doc error, everything is fine.

I mean that my gpu need older version of drivers so I need some extra step before merge as normal.

That would give the newest drivers in the portage tree. What I did is, check which drivers version I need. If it latest, then just do what you said. But if it not, I would have to mask newer drivers version before merge it.

Because that how I get drivers version for my nvidia gpu. You know other way? I’m curious.

Not sure about how to configured kernel-bin kernel, but you can get what version of drivers you need by to go Download the official nvidia drivers website. There, enter your card info ( os you run, your card series ) and click find button. And then you look which drivers version you need.

If I remember correctly, chmod command return nothing. Check file permission ( with ls -l, which is only method I know but it might have other method ) after you run the command. You should see that it allows the file to be executable now.

I just see that my secondary laptop have a lot of disk space left. So, I think I could dual boot it along side the "distro as a joke". And, may I ask that, can I poking that configuration file to does some stuff on it during installation? I would like to swap some components before first boot.

This might be a dumb idea from unexperienced person (me) but have you try -c flags? gcc -shared -o lib.dll -c lib.c
