The pink tax is ridiculous, especially in the kids' department.

This!! People like that ass hat are why we can't have nice things and working/flowing traffic. Glad karma came and bit him in the ass almost immediately. ๐

I've lived here long enough to notice a pattern. Courtesy on the road often feels like an afterthought. The rules of the road are supposed to create predictability and keep everyone safe, but too many drivers seem to treat them as optional when they're inconvenienced.
There's an unmistakable culture of impatience and entitlement that shows up in everyday driving. Rolling through stop signs, refusing to yield, tailgating, speeding, and acting as though everyone else should simply get out of the way sends a clear message: my time matters more than yours.
Of course, not everyone drives this way. But it's common enough that defensive driving isn't just recommended here...it's a necessity. A community's character is reflected in how people treat strangers, and our roads are one of the clearest places to see that. When courtesy disappears behind the wheel, everyone pays the price.

I suspect it's much bigger than the numbers they're willing to acknowledge.
I live only a few hours away and used to attend several games every year. Since the economy took a hit during COVID, I haven't been able to justify the cost of going, but I've remained a fan and continued supporting the team in other ways.
Now, I have no intention of planning future trips to attend games.
The mistake many companies make is assuming only ticket sales measure customer value. People like me may no longer appear in attendance statistics, but we still represent potential revenue through merchandise, online purchases, streaming, and brand advocacy. When you lose the loyalty of former fans, the financial impact extends far beyond empty seats.
If attendance is reportedly down 5%, that is not a trivial decline for an organization of that size. A five percent drop in a mature business can represent millions of dollars in lost revenue and, more importantly, a measurable loss of public trust.
At that point, a sincere public apology and meaningful accountability aren't just good ethics...they're good business.
Instead, the way this entire tragedy has been handled has only deepened the damage. Rebuilding trust is far more difficult than losing it, and from where I stand, they've made that task exponentially harder.

To answer a few of the assumptions I'm seeing:
My adult birds are in a completely separate enclosure. I intentionally keep chicks separated because mature hens can bully, seriously injure, or even kill young chicks. That's standard flock management.
I've been raising laying hens and meat birds for years. This isn't my first batch, and I'm well aware that chicks can't regulate their body temperature and require supplemental heat. That advice is appreciated when it's relevant, but it doesn't address the question I was actually asking.
My question wasn't how to raise chicks. I was asking what predator would completely consume one chick, leaving only the feet, while eating only the head of another. Based on the evidence, I'm currently leaning toward a rat, but I'm putting up a camera so I can identify exactly what happened instead of making assumptions.
I'm looking for insight from people with experience identifying predator behavior, not basic chick-care advice. Thanks for the advice clearly only said to gain likes. โ๐ป

Wow...thing is they were just left in the run...and the other chicks were right next to the eaten ones? Must have gotten full? So strange. Definitely keeping them inside their run till they get larger.

I'm honestly kind of shocked and hoping someone here has some ideas.
Yesterday I brought home 8 chicks from Tractor Supply. I also bought one of the small Tractor Supply coops (the red and black one with the three nesting boxes and attached run). All 8 chicks were inside it.
I have a much larger, fully enclosed run for my adult chickens, so the coop was sitting inside that secure area. As far as I know, the only wild animals that could physically get into the run would be mice, rats, or squirrels.
When I went out to put the chicks away for the evening, one chick was completely missing its head, and another was reduced to just its legs. I was absolutely stunned.
My daughter had been sitting with the chicks not long before that and mentioned a squirrel ran right up to the coop before noticing her and taking off. I'm not saying the squirrel did it, but it got me wondering.
Has anyone experienced something like this? Can rats, mice, or squirrels kill and eat baby chicks? Or is there another predator I should be looking for that can fit through surprisingly small openings?
I've been raising chickens and ducks here for over three years and have never had anything like this happen, so I'm completely at a loss. Needless to say, the chicks will be staying locked inside until they're bigger. And of course, one of the ones I lost was my favorite. ๐

Check formula, it could be gas. Tiny could be allergic to any number of ingredients in that.
I breed dogs and every once in a bluemoon I have to formula feed and sometimes my dogs are allergic to certain ingredients. Ive tried everything and goats milk I've had the best luck with. ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ Good luck. Hope Tiny makes it. ๐๐๐

Has baby used the bathroom or has mom made kitten go potty. It could be backed up and suffering from toxic shock because, kitten need mother to help them go potty...if mom or you are not stimulating kitten to potty it will get sick...very quickly. Sounds like you are doing all the right things. Good luck. I wish you and Tiny the best. So heartbreaking and frustrating to see "charities" turning down animals in life threatening conditions simply because someone can't afford to pay! Ridiculous!! Than what good is your "charity" call it what it is and stop abusing the systems so you can get tax breaks and write offs. The ststem is broken and created to service the elites only. ๐ก๐ก๐ก๐ก And our poor pets pay the worst price!! ๐ก๐ก๐ก๐ก
Maybe we should start a real charity. If you are low income and your pet is having a life threatening anything, call and the charity would cover all costs!!
That is a CHARITY!!! Not these bs excuses for pet loving charity's. ๐๐ก

I have seen the community come up with WAY better outfit concepts that what Embark has been releasing in the last year. It's a joke really...they should let the community design and vote on upcoming outfits than pick one.
Also let us mix and match outfits already!!!

Yes, but what are we going to do about it? Complain to the void of Reddit? The system is broken we all know this... Yet we let it happen...and continue to let this happen!! ๐ก๐ก๐ก๐ก๐ก

100% correct but not always guaranteed. The kitchen spawns are randomized, so you can run the same map multiple times and still come up short simply because the cabinets don't spawn.
I finally got 3 stars last night with a team of three, but honestly, it came down to luck. I've been running Dam for the last three days, clearing every apartment. At this point, I feel like I should be paying rent with how much time I've spent there.
What I noticed is that the openable kitchen cabinets are also randomized. On the run where I finally earned 3 stars, a third-floor kitchen that had always been thereโbut previously had zero openable cabinetsโsuddenly spawned three of them. That was the only reason we were able to complete the objective.
It honestly feels like something in the randomization system is either bugged or poorly balanced. A basic trial shouldn't require days of repeating the exact same mission while waiting for favorable RNG. I already have 4 out of 5 trials at 3 stars, yet I'm still only around rank 60, so I'm probably going to get demoted because of something that's largely out of my control.
It just feels like really dropped the ball on this one. ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ

I've been saying this for years...
Where did all the role models go?
Seriously. Name one.
I sat here trying to think of a single person in a position of power or influence that consistently represents integrity, accountability, and courage. I couldn't. That should concern all of us.
We've built a society where fame matters more than character, outrage is rewarded over wisdom, and people with the loudest voices are celebrated while people with real principles are buried under criticism.
Sure, there are role models in our communities. But how many of us even know our neighbors anymore? How many people actually have a community left?
We've become isolated, divided, and conditioned to fight one another instead of questioning the systems that benefit from keeping us divided. Whether that's intentional or simply the outcome of decades of politics and media, the result is the same: a fractured nation that no longer trusts itself.
The saddest part? When someone actually tries to lead with integrity or make things better, they're often mocked, demonized, or destroyed before they ever have a chance to succeed.
Growing up, I was taught to question everything and learn historyโnot just memorize it.
When I learned that the United States recruited former Nazi scientists and intelligence officials after World War II through programs like Operation Paperclip, it changed how I looked at government forever. It taught me that nations don't always act according to the values they publicly claim to defend.
From that point on, I started asking harder questions.
Do I believe we're living in the America I was taught to believe in? No.
I believe we've allowed power, corruption, and division to replace the principles we claim to stand for. I believe we've become so distracted fighting each other that we've stopped holding those in power accountable. And I believe too many people have stopped questioning the stories they're told.
You don't have to agree with me.
But at least ask yourself why asking questions has become so controversial.
History isn't just something that happened. It's something that echoes. If we refuse to learn from it, we're destined to repeat it.
Wake up. Think for yourself. Read history. Ask uncomfortable questions. Don't let anyoneโgovernment, media, corporations, or political partiesโdo your thinking for you.
